Has anyone ever made their own plastic canopy for a 40k vehicle.....preferably without using a vacuum former.

I have a goal of someday replacing the panel in a Hammerhead that has the "visor" with a clear canopy and cockpit that has Longstrike.

I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends.

Three!! Three successful trades! Ah ah ah!

Going to be rather difficult to copy that series of curves without a vacformer.

Yeah, you could do it with a clear resin cast - but you will still require damn good mould making skills AND both the knowledge of how to cast glass-clear parts AND the hardware to do so (bubble removal is key).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

this seems to be a tall order, de-gassing is a must if you're gonna try to cast clear resin.

You could try to make panels with clear styrene sheet but not sure how it would look.
