Meet the New Primaris Intercessor Action Figure

From WarCom -

Spoiler:

Spoiler:
Meet the New Primaris Intercessor Action Figure
The first-ever Warhammer action figure is here, and it’s incredible! The model stands 8” tall, with the solid construction and brilliant sculpt radiating a sense of weight, power, and presence. This milestone model from Bandai represents a new way for Warhammer fans to explore and enjoy the rich universe of the 41st Millennium.

This action figure is a collectable-grade posable model with over 50 points of articulation. The build quality and paint finish are everything you’d expect from our partners at Bandai. They’ve captured features like the Imperialis on his breastplate and distinctive Mk X faceplate in crisp detail while remaining faithful to everything that makes a Space Marine instantly recognisable. Massive pauldrons, looming backpack vents, flared greaves and, of course, the bolt rifle – this iconic silhouette works just as well at this scale as any other.

The paint finish is intricate and vibrant, resplendent in the blue heraldry of the Ultramarines. The squad markings show this figure to be a warrior from the 3rd Battleline Squad of the 2nd Company. At each step, everything about this model was crafted with attention to detail and reverence for the source material. But, of course, it’s also really fun to play with!

This Primaris Intercessor will make a stunning centrepiece collectable for every fan of Warhammer 40,000, or even just those of you who are into awesome action figures – and it’ll be available to pre-order next month. Keep an eye out for more info on securing one for yourself or as a gift.

Why would you think it was a joke? This was announced and shown by both companies months ago and has been to at least 3 toy shows in Japan.

That looks pretty fun. Disappointing if it never receives any additional accessories or replacement heads, etc, but I might pick one up regardless.

Looks like it would make a great statue with some stone texture spray paint. Give it something to stand on and you could use LEDs near the base for "scenic lighting" like IRL statues sometimes have.

Is this a 3D printed prototype or the final product?

Needs a drop of aggrax

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples

Most likely a production copy if they're going up for pre-order next month.

So that people have an idea of what to expect:

Figuarts Thanos here is an 8" tall Bandai figure with the same style of articulation, most likely using the same materials, and most likely with the same bulk(maybe less than the Marine thanks to shoulder pads). He included 3 pairs of hands, 3 different faces, and the sword. He retailed for $95 USD. Drop the face swapping, and I'd put it around $80-85 for the Marine.

Awesome, but ah....How much?

EDIT: just saw the prior post. $80-90 is a bit much, but I guess it's not unreasonable compared to similar sized 40K models (which aren't even pose-able)
I might still get one eventually. Maybe repaint it to be Blood Ravens if the material seems like it would hold paint (i.e if it's not "rubbery" like some action figures)

Thanos there was $95, but came with a couple more accessories than I expect this Marine to come with.

Can you paint it the colors of a real chapter?

It comes painted, so I suppose it depends how easy it is to paint over or strip.

The paint finish is intricate and vibrant, resplendent in the blue heraldry of the Ultramarines. The squad markings show this figure to be a warrior from the 3rd Battleline Squad of the 2nd Company.

Yes, but I'd recommend looking up some custom action figure painting guides as it's a slightly different skill set to keep the paint safe.
