I'm looking for some ideas about how to store my terrain.
Currently, I have things in a number of boxes but it's not very efficient and some of it can get damaged in transit. I have an IKEA Kallax unit which I could repurpose for storing scenery, but I'd like to get some boxes to store them in.
Requirements are a lid and are otherwise sealed to prevent dust getting in, and ideally they'd be transparent but it's not completely necessary. I also want them to make the most use of the Kallax unit and not leave wasted space on the side, which is an issue with the Really Useful Boxes I have along with some other storage solutions I've seen.
I've looked through a number of forum posts and internet searches without much use, but I'm hoping some people here might have some useful ideas or experiences.

Plastic containers and drawers of various size, smaller terrain like trees and objectives =small drawers, pack with packing air bubbles, if moving pack in a small-medium jewelry plastic ziplock bag;
I’d also tape bubble wrap along the interior of the containers to prevent denting, use various left over foams from miniature cases, air bubbles and furniture packing materials to fill the space around.

I'd suggest whatever stackable plastic bins are within your budget. However....inside these plastic bins, put cupboard or shelf lining material. This gives a grip to the bottom of the tub and keeps everything from flying around and colliding too much during movement.
Really Useful Boxes are great, but can be expensive. Also, choose boxes that fit in your mode of transportation best. Measure your trunk (or boot) and make sure they fit, particularly more than one, etc.

Thanks for the ideas.
What I'm really looking for is some recommendations for plastic bins that will fit in the shelves, everything I've found so far is either too big or leaves too much wasted space.
Is there anything that will actually fit in the unit?
Travel wise it's not a big problem as I usually host, because all the scenery is in my house!

Really useful boxes fit nicely into Kallax units.
2 of these units (the 9l ones I think) stack on top of each other and fit easily with some space to the side for rulebooks and things. I'm using a pair just now as blackstone fortress storage. One for models and one for all the other bits
Edited to.add the boxes in situ

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Depending on the type of terrain you're storing, this sort of thing could work. Basically just make stackable trays that fit inside whatever container you're using. Hot glue and foamcore board do just fine. You can add interior dividers if you need to keep things from sliding around, or if the trays you're making are large enough that they need support in the middle.

They do, but none are transparent or airtight/dustproof!

For STORAGE, this is transparent, and keeps the dust out: No use for transport I grant you:

I use plastic tubs, but I store my models in pluck foam and use the plucked out foam to keep the big terrain from crushing the little terrain.
