Hi all, I am new to 40k, but have played many war games in the past. I want to get into Tau. Is this battle box worth getting? Or will I have units that I wont use in competitive play? I dont want to end up buying a box then find out that not all the units are playable/good.
The battle box is T'au Empire Starclaimer Hunter Cadre[u]

Nothing in the box is particularly bad, it's all got a purpose (so long as you build the Fire Warriors as Fire Warriors and not Breachers). You'll get mixed opinions on Crisis teams; Riptides and Ghostkeels tend to do the same job as well or better, but GW keeps giving Crisis teams price drops to convince people to use them and I think they work fine (especially since they let you Deep Strike a huge number of Drones with them to take hits for them, while bigger suits only bring two drones each).

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.
