I just got the new Start Collecting! Slaves to Darkness box. I had assumed that the models would come with weapon options that supported the warscroll and tat I'd magnetize them.

The I received the box and noticed that (with the exception of the Doom Knight) and gear was fixed.

THEN I noticed that the knights pretty much all have Ensorcelled Weapons strapped to their backs or in sheaths.

So, for official tournaments, would one be allowed to run those models with Ensorcelled Weapons even though they're holding Cursed Lances (since the hand weaponsare on the models)?

They’d probably tell you to go with the lances since those are much more visible to the other players to avoid confusion.

My advice is to cut the lances down, do a weapon swap, whatever you need to do to make it so you don't have to stay with lances. Because they are MUCH worse.

that said, I can't imagine GW's not sitting on a new Chaos knight and chaos warrior model kit that will come out in some sort of "big event" in 6 months to a year
