Hi.

Where can I find the rules for allies? I am looking for allies for my tombkings. I found some rules that said only 20% of the army, and only every 5th unt can be an ally. But I also found a list of who can ally with whom, but no tomb kings on that list. What are the restrictions of what Death units tomb kings can ally with? And more importantntly, where can I find those rules?

Tomb Kings are unsupported and probably won't have updates in the current rules. Would suggest using the Ossiarch Bonereapers' table just to get a quick approximation for casual games.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

as you know, TK is a legacy army and cannot be used in matched play.

so in that case, all the rules you need is at p17 in the core rule book.

Tomb Kings do not have an ally list and do not appear on the ally list of any other army. Therefore they cannot have allies nor can they be allies.

However, they can be included in a Death Grand Allegiance army alongside other DEATH units.

As others have said though, they are a legacy army without proper support. They are over costed and dont have the kinds of rules synergies that current armies have. You will struggle a lot not just to make an army but also to win games.

Was that a joke? Bonereapers have no allies.

What are the rules for allies in a Death Grand Allegiance army? Is that just pick any death unit?

Yes. The downside is you have to use GAeah allegiance abilities. But as TK, you don't have your own allegiance anyway, so it's no loss. Bear in mind, you will probably find few synergies between the supported units and TK in terms of spells and abilities.

And this is one of the reasons you will struggle to win games with Tomb Kings - because most other armies have strong allegiance abilities that significantly boost the army.

Tombs Kings are NOT Legend army and can be played in Match play and tournaments, heck there was Tomb King player this weekend for Warhammer world event.

It wasn't meant as a joke, it was an assumption based on prior knowledge of the system without having read the Bonereapers' specific rules.

Fair!

They have no allies at all, which was a big disappointment as a Legions player hoping to get access to a usable ranged unit. Its supposedly due to how they dont use command points and have a different system instead, but I dont really see how that necessitate having no allies at all. You just wouldnt be able to use the Bonereaper Relentless Discipline abilities if taking them as allies, and vice versa for other allies in a Bonereaper army.
