The latest Kharadron Overlord battletome makes a brief mention of how humans, Duardin and Golemkind dwelt alongside each other in the Age of Myth. That was an intriguing little line and it really got my imagination gears churning. Who made them? How big were they? In what capacity did they function alongside the other races? Are they still around?

I’d really like to see that expanded on in some capacity, and it got me thinking about all of the other similar throwaway lines in novels and battletomes. Here’s a few more that intrigued me:

Did Zhuvas/Zhuvassin really escape Shadespire? What will he get into?

Will Grungni unite whats left of the Duardin race, or take a page out of Teclis’s playbook and create a new version? Or find a way to bring back Valaya?

Give us Grotbag Scuttlers already! Enough teasing.

Anyone have their own favorite little tidbit of lore that alludes to all the crazy things in the Mortal Realms that we haven’t seen yet?

For me there's a few things I'd like them to flesh out

1) TIMELINE - I'd like GW to have an official timeline with dates and put things in order. Right now it feels like you have to sort things based on very crude time measures - Age of Myth, Chaos and Sigmar - then within the latter there's pre and post Necroquake.

The lack of a uniform dating system is frustrating because it makes it hard to work out which stories might impact others; which characters might meet up; how old some of the ancients are etc....

2) Like time, place is also important. Even if its only the central regions - more maps please!!

3) Realms - I'd love more detail on them. From the geography to the beasties and monsters; to the economies and peoples and lands. I'd like to really be able to feel a connection to them. Right now I feel like Warcry has actually fleshed out the Eightpoints better than the actual realms in terms of being able to visually imagine the setting and what goes on there and what might live there - and that's a Chaos Blasted realm of madness which, in theory, should be the most crazy diverse!

I feel like those three things would help so many of the stories now and in the future build into a stronger lore. Into one that's much easier to connect too as a reader and fan and also one that gives the fan so much more to work with in terms of creating your own little corner of the Realms. Right now it feels like a setting lost in the sea of its own infinite possibilities. You can't see the wood for the trees etc...

I really just want human societies to show up, and I'd love for some of them to.be order but not particularly sympathetic to Sigmar.

True, though don't forget in the Mortal Realms the human societies are mostly fragmented and under Slaves to Darkness.
I think we'll see a big surge of humanity when GW gets around to updating the cities of Sigmar model lines - esp the human ones.

Malerion and Ulgu is an interesting lore snippit I wish I had more info on...

but in all seriousness, I really would love to have all those things Overread mentioned. Heck, I could imagine something like what the star wars EU did with the Battle of Yavin. Have the zero year for the new calendar of the realms be centered around the "Realmgate Wars", with Before and after on the time line. That way some of the age of myth stuff can be like, 2,000 years before the relmgate wars, and it can give us a basis for how long the cities where around.

413th Lucius Exterminaton Legion- 4,000pts

Kaptin KlawJaw's FreeBootahz!-1,500pts

The Royal Court of BlüdGrave- 2,000pts || Atalurnos Fleetbreaker's Akhelian Corps- 2500pts

I would like to see less pure war stories and more world building ones. The Daughters of Khaine spring to mind, religious murder ladies...but beyond that we really don't know much.

What are the cities like? How do they survive if they backstab each other all the time? Are they aware how much like Khornites they are? They complain about the rest of the order people not trusting them...but duh.. I am sure you get the idea.

I thought Callis and Toll was really good for giving a view of normal people.

Same. A lot of very warlike factions like Slaves to Darkness must still have a relatively 'safe enough' basis for population growth somewhere, especially with how fast they lose it to combat. It isn't like Orruks where they literally spring from the ground. Beasts of Chaos and Ogors also come to mind.

I would also like to see more information on realmgates; how frequent are they, really? Obviously some are huge and those seem to be rare, but factions like Darkwalker Greatfray seem to imply that smaller ones are both more numerous and less known.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.
