I've always been of the mindset that terrain is the most impactful part of playing a game of 40k. I'm hoping to build some terrain for my garage table that is both functional and good to look at/have in pictures while being more than just some terrain kits slapped together and dry brushed a bunch.

I was hoping you guys could post some pictures or links to some of your favorite terrain builds or layouts!

Have you tried a search on You Tube for ‘40k terrain’? Loads of videos on scratch building. Alternately, a Google on the same subject with .pdf included should get plans from Back In The Day WD terrain articles.

I have and I've found quite a bit to go off of but it's always nice to have the backing of the hive mind for things/terms/places I didn't think of.

The League of Extraordinary Riveters runs terrain building comps over in the painting and modeling section. A list of all the comps should be in the opening post of the current competition. Lots of different people build on a theme. Might be worth mining for ideas, or tossing your hat into the ring.
