I like that idea. Also, since tzaangors get their own elite commanders, I think that the poxwalkers should have their own big units. Khornate monsters, in terms of Jason, could be based on the protagonist on the Splatterhouse games, as well as some of his opponents.
Don Qui Hotep wrote:I really like that idea! If we're following Yarium's example, then Khorne gets the Jason-type zombies that just keep coming back for more blood. For Tzeentch I'd think something like Freddy Kreuger - an incorporeal undead that get inside your head. You're too busy fighting them in your head to worry about them chomping you in the neck.
Closest horror franchise I could think of for Slaanesh is the cennobites, which is probably a bit too on-the-nose. But what makes them interesting is that they give up their mortality willingly. If Khorne gets hordes of fast-zombies, Slaanesh could get a couple of elite super-undead that have such sights to show.
I love all of those ideas. The Slaanesh zombies could have abilities similar to that of the Contorted Epitome.

This. I could see Slaanesh (maybe Khorne) getting some goatmen. They could probably just use the existing beastmen models from SIgmar. Alternatively, give Khorne the goats, and give Slaanesh some Sslyth-esque snake people.
I'm personally not big on the idea of giving each god some form of
undead though. Zombies are frequently coded as metaphors for disease or else are literally the product of disease. This makes them a great fit for Nurgle's gimmick and aesthetic; thus poxwalkers. Making zombies + angry/sensual/magical feels like it would water down the concept and step on Nurgle's toes. But obviously that's just me. If you're really feeling the idea of zombies for each chaos power, you do you and have a blast doing it.
Quick note on cenobites: drukharie haemonculi and coven units already kind of have "dibs" on that aesthetic. Some of the old grotesques (scaled closer to modern wracks) are pretty clearly referencing the toothy guy from Hellraiser, and various haemonculus models throughout the ages have some serious cenobite vibes. But again, don't let that stop you. Just know that there are existing models using that general "look."
There definitely needs to be a full return to the
40k beastmen, and I don't just mean the generic ones from Blackstone Fortress. We have tzaangors, now there needs to be dog-headed khorngors, rotting pestigors, and lithe slaangors.
