Been Around the Block





So the DW KTs arent the same as they were and i need some help rearrange my army, the purpose is to have everything in KTs for a fun casual list (my friend already hate me enough just for playing marines ).

What i have,

31 Intercessors (Sell off 10?)
10 Reivers (Putting aside for a later date)
10 Hellblasters
6 Aggressors
3 Inceptors

Thinking about adding,

10 Heavy Int
10 Assault Int
3 Eradicators

Non KT units,
4 HQs (Captain, Chaplin, Librarian and Techmarine)
2 Redemptors
1 Apothecary
1 Ancient
+ Knights Inquisitors and Assassins

Making four fortis and two indomitor KTs. Any opinions, suggestions and or advice?

Tough position to be in with those options.
I would definitely start my first KT with 6 intercessors and 4 Hellblasters. Combat squad to 3 Intercessors and 2 HBs.
You could repeat that a second time.

As for Indomitor kill teams, 5 heavy intercessors, 3 eradicators, 1 aggressor and 1 inceptor works. Gives fall back and shoot option, plus decent melee with aggressor

2nd team just 5 hvy intercessors, 3 Aggressors and and 2 inceptors.

I would pass on the assault intercessors unless you already have them.

However, the coolest KT IMHO is the spectrus one with infiltratirs and Eliminators.

My 8th army looked a lot like yours and I'll also have a lot of Intercessors and Aggressors and 2 Redemptors left over.


I think upgrading the Techmarine and putting it with the 2 Redemptors might be pretty good. Other than the Inceptors and the teleport strat you don't have much mobility for objectives which may be a problem. You don't want to spread yourself too thin with strategic reserves either. For Assault Intercessors, maybe don't put them into a KT at all if you field them, so you can tool up the sergeant.


This is what I'm building for now, but I haven't played a single game of 9th and likely won't for the rest of the year, so my advice really isn't worth much!

T-Spectrus Kill Team - 5 Infiltrator/5 Eliminator = combat squads split evenly

T-Fortis Kill Team (Furor Spec) - 5 Intercessor, Power Sword/5 Outrider = combat squads split evenly

T-Fortis Kill Team - 5 Intercessor, Power Sword/5 Hellblaster = mixed combat squads or stay as one big squad

T-Indomitor Kill Team - 5 Hvy Intercessor, 2 Boltstorm Aggressor, 3 Eradicator = variable combat squads

"Kill Team 6" For the non Troops slots

HQ-Primaris Techmarine w/Artificer Bolt Cache (Iron Hands "Sarge")

E-Bladeguard Veterans x3

FA-Plasma Inceptors x3

HS-Eradicators x3

Was thinking for assault int make one a regular intercessors with some spare bits and go 6 int 4 assault and squad the sarge with the assaults maybe?
