Hi all!

Long time follower of the forum, and fairly recently back in the hobby after a long break.

More of a painter than a gamer, but hope to get a few games in when lockdown is over with some local clubs.

Mainly interested in 40k and AoS, but hopefully will be posting finished models from smaller manufacturers also!

You'll probably see me in the Painting and Modelling sections of the forum!

Thanks for reading

Hello and welcome. What's the gaming scene like there in Ireland? Is GW a big presence? Many local clubs and tourneys? I'm over there a fair bit, mainly to Mayo and Galway during normal times, and not since I recently returned to the hobby myself.

Hi, I'm actually from Sligo, there are groups/clubs in Galway, and soon a club in Castlebar will be opening (Broadsword Wargaming), Facebook groups are probably the easiest way to find communities here, at least for me anyway.

Nice one, my dad's got a little chalet in Enniscrone, not too far from Castlebar I think. I rememer it being a great spot for a pub craw too, when they do the music festival in all the pubs, but it would be good to save my liver one evening and try and get a game in, next time i'm over

No way, I live in Easkey, about 10mins from Enniscrone, definitely missing the festival's! Send me a message when you're over if you want to meet up for a pint at least!

Haha sounds good mate, small world eh?
I used to go to Easkey, to a semi-illegal club to drink with my step-brothers when we were under-age (so over 20 years ago). Cans of red stripe and drum n bass. One bus there and back so you had to be on it when it left.

Haha that would probably have been the Seafield hotel, locally dubbed Sellafield!
