Looking to play an apocalypse game in the near future, and wondering if there are rules for Boarboyz someplace in the currently legal editions of 40k? Haven't played for a while so don't really understand what books are legit and whats even in them!

If not, what profiles would you recommend (from Orks or allies) to represent them?

Bikers seem a pretty obvious choice except that bikers are shooty and my boarboyz have no guns just big axes and stuff..

There's no boarboyz, but there is a new model release planned (soon I think) for orks riding squigs, so I guess the rules for those will be released at the same time.

Who's to say that the boars don't have some sort of tusk digging attack that kicks up rocks/debris??? Just need a Lil imagination.

your mind

Play as new squig riders if GW doesn’t go out of the way to make them too unique and not boar like at all. Boars are just squigs after all.

Not familiar with the ork codex, but is there no melee options for bikers?

Even if there isn't I'm sure they can still fight in meleewith thier basic profile.

On bikes having shooting attacks vs your boys having no guns....
•Add guns?
•Just because the unit lists a shooting option doesn't mean you HAVE to use it.

Nob bikers can take melee weapon upgrades (big choppa, power klaw, et al), and are arguably better for the points than regular warbikers.

I would use them as Nob Bikers, to designate the more powerful melee strength of their mount.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"
