So, I was never able to get one back when it came out. Trying to source a Gollum, Frodo, and Sam for my Ithilien Ranger Legendary Legion is infuriatingly annoying at the moment.

Can anyone show what the Frodo that comes with the "The Forbidden Pool" set looks like in better detail than this?

It would seem so! Andrew's link was helpful in that regard.

Gollum there was from Captured by Gondor(HE HAS A FISH!!!!), Frodo was from Ringwraith on Fell-Beast(the metal one...nightmare fuel!), and Faramir+the Ranger were just those things.

I pulled the trigger on one of these sets and now my Legendary Legion Rangers of Ithilien feels complete.

My set arrived today...way earlier than expected.

I NOW HAVE GOLLUM WITH A FISH!!!!

That's the best kind of Gollum there is.

I picked up fish Gollum a month or so back second hand. He was a right bugger to strip. Couple of deep crevices there that make it hard to get a toothbrush too.

But yes, a great little model.

There was something so satisfying about removing the shrinkwrap from the set.

It even had the lil' promo booklet from way back when! Advertising the "COMING SOON...RETURN OF THE KING!" starter set.

Looks like Faramir and the Ranger were also in the Captured By Gondor box (along with fish-eating Sméagol). A different Frodo and Sam, though.

Captured by Gondor was indeed Faramir, along with Damrod, 4 rangers (1 of each sculpt). Fish Gollum, resting Frodo and cooking Sam.

Now that's a set that I would have loved to have had.

Fish gollum, Sam cooking, and Faramir? Sold!
