Hi guys,
I'm planning my next purchase and I have been eyeing on this gorgeous EC contemptor.
However, I am still wondering what weapons to buy him !
He will likely be sent outflanking my opponent, and I believe I need more antitank weaponry. So, obviously at first I went for the the lascannons. But... 225 pts for a two shots unit that won't even be there T1 ? Have you ever used this kind of unit in this situation ?
Otherwise I was thinking twin volkite to glance them to death on the flank, but obviously doesn't work against the biggest vehicles.

Either wait a couple of months for the updated version, or magnetise so you can swap them.

If you're outflanking a BS5 Contemptor and you're just looking for the surprise flank shot the multi-meltas are a perfectly serviceable solution.

Yeah I'll buy some magnets because I love the look of plasma cannons and volkites !
But I suddenly came across something... A single lascannon with a CCW with a grav gun built-in (the short range isn't an issue) or a plasma cannon with a chainfist with a built-in plasma blaster.
This way, I could use both assault and shooting phase and the lascannon / grav gun dread would be very threatening I believe
For melta, I am hesitating with jetbikes !

If you're going for the outflank with Maru Skara maybe nab the Multimelta and the Gravgun fist. Obvs the bigger stuff will have Ceramite but anything else should pop quite nicely in shooting then eat dirt in combat.
Also, that model is sublime BTW, never regretted buying it.

Yeah so you all sound right, I bought a chainfist and one 4 different weapons to magnetize him. I'll play him with melta and CCW/gravgun at first and see what happens, should be okay and great looking
