Working on getting a full scale manta printed. Figure I document it here. A few hiccups here and there. First batch I ended up forgetting to tighten the build plate everything came out alright have a slight layer shift you can kind of see on the ion Cannons. Then I did the first part of the hanger 35 hours of printing later it came out alright have slight delamination but nothing worth starting over again.

Printing this guy on a Phrozen Mega 8k. Next hanger should be done in about two days if everything runs smoothly.

That is… large. Nice work, and good luck with the rest of the prints.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I'll be curious to see exactly how much mass a manta really has. You'll have to tell us how much you used when you finish. Although, the supports themselves would be enough to constitute it's own model. I wonder if there's a way to calculate that?

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Had a minor misprint where print stick to fep lost around 8 hours to that.

Parts came out alright. I didn't want to bore you all with a mirror part so I printed out the center aswell.

Just gonna print some smaller parts until I get more resin down to one bottle.

Should be easy to calculate as it says it in each print. So far I've used 2.5 litres and that's with no major failures. I'd say I still have 500ml in the vat. Hangers each took about 500 ml the the center took around 300 I don't remember what the ions and doors took but I'd assume another 300 there. I was wondering about calculating that but as I hand support everything I haven't gotten it finished yet.
