So I bought and built a couple of Marine Gladiator tanks a year and a half ago. But I lost the Clear Tank Hover Stand's for them (tossed out with the box by accident). Then they got put away until now. I contacted GW to see if I could buy a couple of the stands (they are not for sale on the website). They solved the problem buy sending me two brand new gladiators tanks. Unfortunatly I still have two that have no stands. So I was wondering if anyone knew about some third party replacemnets that might solve my problem.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere and somewhere hearts are light,and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout but there is no joy in Mudville — mighty Casey has struck out.

You can buy plain acrylic rod relatively cheaply. If the stand is going to be really hidden (i.e. with the tank being low to the base) then even some simple wooden dowel painted black will work.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Wait? What?!

YOU lost the PLASTIC BASES for your tanks A YEAR AND A HALF AGO, and you contacted GW and they sent you TWO BRAND NEW TANKS?!? £100+ of kits?!?!?

What parallel world have I suddenly woken up into?

This kind of thing is typical for GW customer service. People like to hate on them for having high prices but at least they're honest about it and if you have a problem with one of their products they will fix it without any issues.

(Plus, some low-level customer service employee probably looked at the difficulty of having to go out to the warehouse and find that specific part vs. clicking a button in the system to have two more tanks mailed to OP and made the obvious choice.)

One of their light walkers carried a weapon of lethal effect. It fired a form of ultra-high velocity projectile. I saw one of our tanks after having been hit by it. There was a small hole punched in either flank - one the projectile's entry point, the other its exit. The tiny munition had passed through the vehicle with such speed that everything within the hull not welded down had been sucked out through the exit hole. Including the crew. We never identified their bodies, for all that remained of them was a red stain upon the ground, extending some twenty metres from the wreck.

I know, but I wouldn't have thought in that situation they'd be obliged to do anything at all. It certainly doesn't seem to be their fault that the parts went missing and a year and a half seems to me to be well beyond any kind of returns policy or guarantee. Not sure what it's like in the US, obviously, but if I tried that in the UK, I'd get laughed at down the phone, I'm pretty sure! xD

Oh Canada!

They weren't obliged, but it's good business to ensure your customers buying an expensive luxury product are kept happy.

When GW stores still had Bitz orders - almost anything in the back catalog could be bought, down to the individual parts - I picked up a bunch of the old High Elf models including some pegasi mounts. They sent 4x of the (left or right, I can't remember) wing instead of 2x left and 2x right, so my next order had four comp'd wings in it of the correct side. The other two that were wrong were reimbursed too.

One of the employees told me another customer got an entire OOP dwarf army that he hadn't ordered by accident, and got to keep it!
