The second Kickstarter campaign by Osmoticmeld/Myriad Miniatures/John Robertson, continuing their range of miniatures based on the artwork of Ian Miller.

John Robertson wrote:The model comes in 21 parts, so some experience in model making would be advisable. However, all parts have robust locators, and good gluing surfaces, the little horns on the face and tongue may require a delicate touch though and I'd recommend pinning them. Most parts will be in vacuum cast urethane resin with the aforementioned tongue and horns in white metal.

The model, when built, is approximately 150mm long, 70mm wide & 160mm high.

The dragon's price of £155 is pretty intense. But every stretch goal is a freebie so the deal could potentially get much better. So far one has unlocked.

And at the time of posting most of the early bird pledges are still available so you get a limited edition young dragon as well.

It would be great if this campaign took off because down the line are stretch goals for minis based on some new artwork Ian Miller's done for a band of dragon hunters and their mole machine.

Meanwhile you can also pledge for (unlocked) add-ons and/or minis from the first campaign.

Given its large size and detail, this dragon looks like a magnificent painting project that I'd never finish, but I highly recommend Robertson's work. Annie is correct, and it applies to every single Ian Miller miniature that Robertson's sculpted: "they're all stunning."

I've purchased many of Robertson's smaller models of individual, roughly 28mm-sized figures, some in metal, some in resin. If you know and love Ian Miller and wanted to pair him with a sculptural talent capable of bringing his ornate visions to three-dimensional life, you couldn't do better than John Robertson. Like Miller, Robertson does elegant and insanely micro-detailed work, and like Miller, he does it all by hand. Their collaboration is a dream come true.

the stuff i got from the last project was fantastic, but i'm broke after the recent Damned WGA project,

but if your in the market for a pretty unique looking dragon i'd certainly recommend this

The stretch goal targets have been lowered, so that a couple more have unlocked and we'll hopefully get to the rest of them faster.

Oh my!

Sadly well beyond my capability to justice to. But I’ve a weirdo friend for whom painting, like some kind of…of…of freak is the main part of the hobby.

I’ve sent Hims link .

Last two days.

Only a third of the early bird pledges are taken, so obviously this campaign's not gone as well as John had hoped. But he doesn't want it to be disappointing for those who are backing, so he's unlocked all the stretch goals.

The Worm Gang are yet to be sculpted, but you can look at the minis from the first Kickstarter to see what you can expect.

I can only speak for myself, but I tend to shy away from gigantic models, because small ones already take me far too long to paint.

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind if John would consider sculpting some human-sized minis closer to 32mm in scale, which would fit in more easily with some current major brands. His micro-detailed work is amazing at 28mm, but at 32mm, he'd have even more room to show off his skills.
