Salut à tous!

So, I've stumbled into a set of table feet that I cut a while ago to recycle the table. Seeing their shape, I thought they'd make perfect necron pylones, so there you go. Nothing incredible but since I'm tremedously happy with my gak and bored on duty, i'll show it off. You do what you can

So, First of all, I had to remove the varnish. That stinks, and I was afraid to go with the actual gas torch, so the heat grass killer came in handy. After which, I sanded them good. You can see the varnish making bubbles, it came off surprisingly well to me.

Then I used some old undercoat that has been laying down in my basement for ages to prime theme. The wood sucks a lot of paint, which is why I went for this first and then finished off with a can of white wall primer to smoothen it.

Note that 2 of them have got metallic parts on top. I sanded them using a basic grinder/cutter. Then I started painting. Unremarkable steps: cheap black paint, in can, with a metallic variant for the two metal tops. Went through the all can of standard black as, again, even primed, it soaked a lot of paint. Then I went for airbrushing dark green (olive green from vallejo), then a 50/50 mix of goblin green (army painter

and moot green. Finished by brushing pure moot green over the edges. Plus, I edge highlighted the letallic black tops. I'm quite bad at airbrushing but I hope I'll improve over time.

Then came the longest part of it: applying decals all over them. Since I used none one my necrons, I still had all of them to pick from.

After a few hours of applaying decals, they got varnished with, first, matt varnish to tone done the decals plastic, then a shining one over the edges to make them a bit more appear as if they were emitting light.

And there is the final product (all four faces)

Sorry for the overload of photos.

They look great, the green glow from the edges really sells the Necron green look.

The Polito form is dead, insect. Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence?
When the history of my glory is written, your species shall only be a footnote to my magnificence.
