So I am about to begin building my militia levies, and I am trying to determine the meaning of the rules for assembly.

So as the rules state:

• The entire squad may replace its lasgun or autorifle with one of the following options:
- Basic close combat weapon and autopistol or laspistol........................................................................Free

My question is, does this replace the entirety of the squads lasguns/autorifles with ccws and pistols, or can levies be fielded as a MSU, some with lasguns/autorifles, and some with CCWs/pistols?

Thanks!

The entire squad replaces their rifles with pistol and CCW.

If you're referring to the Strength in Numbers rule I would read it to mean that each of the 3 squads making up 1 troops choice can be equipped differently.

So you could have 3 Levy squads of 30 levies each. 1 with pistols/CCW's and 2 with rifles.

I was just trying to figure out if you could take squads with mixed lasguns/autorifles and CCWs/pistol. It seems you cannot, thank you for the answers!

Yep yep there's a functional difference between

"Any model may..."

versus

"The entire unit may..."
