If you were going to make a 30k Dark Angel list how would build it?
I'm going to go with 10 interemptors 2 or 3 contemptors, some tacticals, some termies, a spartan, a sicaran maybe. I heard sicarans aren't great for their points. I have everything I've listed plus rhinos, preds, marduk, and the first three box sets. I thought about a deredo. Any suggestions about what do i get next? I thought about corswain or deathwing companions.

Uh, you already have a Legion's worth of minis my dude. At this point there isn't much left to get.

Have you considered picking a Rite of War and building an army off of that? The 1st have a few cool ones.

Well I didn't know if they sicaran was just unusable or if the plasma version was ok with da. Or if the deredo was worth the points.

List building is a really personal thing when you get to the core of it. How do you build your army lists generally? Do you like flooding the board with troops or do you prefer taking lots of tanks? Do you favour long or mid range firefights or do you like getting in to melee? Power armour or Terminators? Do you play a bit more casually and take what you like/thinks fun or are you of a more competitive bent and prefer to minmax? All these things and more need to be considered while you make your list.

From what you've listed off as having available you have the makings of a few different lists. You ask what should you get next, I'd recommend looking at your collection and see what you're deficient in. What do you lack on the table top?
At just a glance it appears to me that you might be in need of some melee units. Despoilers or Assault squads would be a good start, as would a kitted out veteran squad. Companions or Cenobium are great for dedicated target removal and both units can trade favourably with just about anything short of a primarch.

I'd also rate the basic Sicaran as well. It's versatile enough to be able to reliably go up against anything short of AV13. The Accelerator autocannon is pretty nuts with 8 Rending/Exoshock 6+ shots, and Ironwing for rerolls on failed hits of 1. Throw on a pintle heavy bolter and you can throw 16 heavy bolter shots down range. Add on a Decurion Locus for reaction hilarity.

Ok, thank you both for posting! I'll look at companions. I feel like if I don't field them one model would still make a great looking praetor. I'm glad to hear the sicaran is usable. That thing just looks so darn cool.

.

I would choose your wing and how you want to play then build your army around that

Through I would definitely add a squad of Cenobium with a mixture of Swords and Thunder Hammers in a Spartan to any list.

Dark Angels are a lot of fun and have true flexibility. The ability to throw in a character with a separate Wing protocol allows the unit to switch up their specialty.

Storm Wing gives bonuses to hit with bolter weapons. Great on tactical squads and basic terminators with combi bolters.

Death Wing gives you bonuses to hit with sword weapons. Great for Despoiler and Assault Squads.

Raven Wing gives you a bonus to advance. You have to forgo shooting and assaulting but it allows you to move and get into position quickly.

Iron Wing gives you bonuses to shoot at vehicles and your vehicles get bonuses to snap fire. Great on lascannon and missile launcher heavy weapon teams. Also great on your vehicles.

Dread Wing gives you a passive buff vs certain weapons (volkite, flamers, melta, etc.). Great on contemptors and anything expected to face these weapons.

Fire Wing gets a bonus when shooting at characters or units with characters.

When you mix and match the wings, you can do something like make your lascannon squad Iron Wing and add a techmarine with Fire Wing. When shooting at tanks you get a buff and if you need to shoot at a unit with a character, you get a bonus to wound. Same goes for an assault squad - make them Death Wing add an Apothecary with Fire Wing or Dread Wing. When running up the center of the board, use the Dread Wing, when you enter combat switch to Death Wing. Throw in a consul with Fire Wing and you can switch to this Wing and get +1 to wound in combat.

A lot of people like going mon Wing but they really shine when they have multiple options going for them.

Not how it works I'm afraid. Techmarines and Apothecaries have to have the same wing as the units they're attached too. Only Independent characters can have different wings to the units they join.
