i was surprised to see that the lokhust destroyers didnt get updated with the new codex so knowing that i guess im looking for alternatives to them as i dont care for the existing ones.
do any of you have any conversion suggestions or cool ideas to replace them?
i thought shorpekh destroyers carrying a large gun ight be cool but am not sure how they'd scale up size wise.
its not a major concern but id like to avoid any fuss i guess.

I haven't tried this for regular Destroyers but I did have a go a while back at making a Destroyer Lord with tentacles instead of the normal base:
It was a pretty simple conversion just using the tentacles from a Cronos with the Overlord from the CCB.
Only issue is that its profile is a bit small. When I put it on the large base, it puts me in mind of a video game character with terrible clipping issues!

I'd love to see some ideas for "canoptek" destroyed. I like the stats of the lokhust heavy destroyer, but destroyer cults in general don't fit my lore. (My dynasty's current overlady has a soft spot for/obsession with organic life and wants to actively collect any species that catch her eye.)

ATTENTION. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.

If you prefer the look of the new Heavy Destroyer, why don't you just use a Heavy Destroyer and weapon swap it? There are several Gauss Cannon bits out there.

thought about that cuda... don't care for it all that much either not to mention the cost factor.

Ossiarchs? They have similar look, and if you paint bone as metal, they are already 90% done.
Lokhust Heavy Destroyer could be replaced by say Morghast Harbingers with arm to gun swap, regular ones with Necropolis Stalkers.
Then you have Gothizzar Harvester which could also be adapted as some count as 'Canoptek' war engine or Tomb Sentinel/Stalker...
