Hi friends,

I’m starting to come back into AOS after a long break and have a lot of models for Tzeentch and StD.
I’d like to bring some StD models as coalition allies in a DoT army but can’t seem to understand the mark situation.

In short, any StD models with a mark of chaos can be included but must have the mark of Tzeentch. What does this mean? Do the get the mark of chaos battle trait from StD book? If not, do they get anything? And if not again, what is the point in saying they must take the mark of Tzeentch.

With tzeentch any ability that works with keyword tzeentch works.

That's it.

Thanks for the reply but can you elaborate?

Does that mean any coalition units have “disciples of tzeentch” keyword?

So can a StD hero that is a wizard cast spells from the disciples of Tzeentch book,
Or do StD daemons benefit from the Locus of change battle trait?

Whilst we’re here, can coalition units be battle line?

No. They have tzeentch. Which is different to disclipine of tzeentch.

Gw been weakening coalition(and aljies in general). Generally very little beside what's in warscroll. Biggest difference to allies is no point limit.

Thank you, that’s what I was thinking. I guess I was just hoping

The point is that the coalition units are such due to devotion to the same god--thus the MoT requirement. Note that while lacking the right keyword to take advantage of Disciples enhancements they can still take ones from the core rules--so a coalition wizard isn't chucking out bolts of tzeentch but could take levitate.

Allies, on the other hand, cannot take enhancements at all.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.
