Very nice!

I need to get back to being more adventurous and experimenting in the kitchen.

Looks great. We went through a long phase of foreign food Fridays which was great fun. The kids would choose a country during the week and we would pig out on Friday in tasty international treats.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

That’s a great idea! On the weekends I have my son I make him cook something he hasn’t done before. Gets him new skills in the kitchen, and expands his palette. I help, but he’s driving. Not necessarily foreign, but trying new things. Which I think is important. I’m also big into cultural appropriation if there is food involved. I’ll learn about you, your heritage, customs, and beliefs if there are yummy snacks to be had. Food really brings everyone together.

With the internet for recipes and tips, and the assortment of stuff at the supermarket, there are very few things holding you back from cooking almost anything. And a lot of it is easier then you think!

Funny actually, me and my girlfriend are doing a similar project. Once a week we cook a dinner with a country theme. We are going around the world, one new continent each week. This time it was europe, and we chose england and their wellington beef.

Cooking is fun!

My local Supermarket had an offer on where large, fresh Chickens are £2.75 each with a loyalty card.

Sadly I missed out, but had intended to grab a couple, break them down into portions for freezing, and have a go at making stock.

May yet do it, as it’s a way to make your money go further for maybe half an hours prep work.
