Are there budget friendly airbrushes that I could start out with? Hopefully a compressor that is not too expensive and fairly quiet

My advice is to not go too cheap with the brush. The Badger Patriot 105 is an outstanding first airbrush IMO. It's a great brush, beginner-friendly, total workhorse, and flexible (you can get different sizes of needles for it). It's still the brush I use most.

When it comes to compressors, you can look to save a little money. I'd look at a Master series compressor and tank combo or one of its many knockoffs/variants. The tank version will cost a little more but means your compressor won't have to work as hard. It's worth it. You might need an adapter for the hose to make it interface with a Badger airbrush but those are available.

Okay will think about the badger 105, Seems like I can get it for 85 dollars. Not sure still on compressors, I search master series and come up with a lot and not sure what would work well for a airbrush. Not sure what tubing will need and anything else

I went with the most budget airbrush because as it turns out, it is better to learn and break a cheaper one.

In the process of learning cleaning paint clogs i over tightened the nib in and cracked it.
The portable pump is lower pressure, needs constant charging, good for small jobs.

Now I got that general.pnumatic compressor with an airbrush, and second airbrush kit that was on clearance sale to test out. So far works great.

Pump gets really really hot when used for few hrs strait. Very high pressure and goes through paint like a 1960s Pontiac Grand Prix through gas.

If you can afford dedicated miniature set with quality tools, even if they might be a bit overpriced Get those! In fact, I would check with your local hobby store to see if they cary airbrush kits, and order through them to support local business.
It is just fun for me to find and repurpose cheapest tools from other fields to the hobby and see if I can make them work to prove a point

I think I will first try painting with a brush and hold off on the airbrush. At least until I get more into this and keep me from spending more money.
