Hi everyone!

Available to Pre-Order now either individually or together in the Cloth Adventurers! set, these three figures - a cloth rogue, a beanbag magic cat and a cloth craa - are the latest figures for the Letters from the Habernagerie range that started with the cloth goblins launched on Kickstarter a year ago.

Pre-Order items will be available at the discounted Pre-Order price until the 13th of June 2024. Pre-Orders will ship from the 13th June 2024 - depending on order volume it may take a few days beyond this date to dispatch.

If you're in the EU or Norway, you can Pre-Order through the Statuesque Miniatures Etsy shop, paying VAT at checkout and avoiding handling fees before delivery.

I hope you like them!

2 New cute cloth adventurers released

As the image says, both LFH17 Another Cloth Goblin Sergeant and LFH18 A Cloth Dug are on sale at 20% OFF, as a new release special offer. This offer will run until Sunday 8th of December.

Additionally, LFH17 Another Cloth Goblin Sergeant can be chosen in place of the original cloth goblin sergeant in both the LFH10A Cloth Goblins! set and the LFH10B A Cloth Goblin Patrol set. Until Sunday 8th of December, the same £1 discount applies to those sets if LFH17 Another Cloth Goblin Sergeant is chosen as the sergeant model.

Please note, there's no pre-order period this time, but dispatch may take a couple of days longer than usual depending on order volume and the miniatures ordered. It's just me after all, casting, packing and posting your orders.

Due to the mail playing silly buggers, took forever for both orders to get here (was not going to place a second order at first, but my bestie loved the dug so much, we had to get it along with the sergeant and some more goblins to boss around! 😆) but they are both here.

Now the question is.. will there at some point be a goblin captain? Chieftain? 😉

Does anyone know how the different head sizes compare with the Frostgrave plastics or some of the older GW plastics?

For old GW, I would use heroic scale small. For modern GW for something like … well anything not space marine I would say the same… heroic small. For space marines the heroic large.

For Frostgrave, Wargames Atlantic, Perry, warlord, etc… I would use pulp scale. But… the pulp scale heads have been removed from the site. Thus happened a couple years back and I emailed Andrew and he said they would be back soon and were. They are gone again so I emailed him but haven’t gotten a reply this time yet.

The models below… the warlord infantry all use pulp heads. As do the Perry cavalry. The GW assassin uses heroic scale small.

Gah, sorry about that. Been rather hectic the past couple of weeks. The fine scale and pulp scale heads will return once I've had a chance to cast up a few sets. Hopefully in the next few weeks.

I've still got a load of test conversion pics up on my old blog. I hope that helps.

No worries, I know its a hectic time of year. Hoping they are back in stock soon as i am planning a birthday order in February. Thinking of a female unit made from Oathmark elf light infantry bodies, with Wargames Atlantic Baron's war polearms and your pulp scale heads.

can you make a few more figures like this in this type of setting? I see a potential here.

I'd like to see some broken toy characters, some tin soldier types, and more of the simple stuffed animal types with wooden hand weapons like toy swords, or just a stick, little knives/ daggers, slingshots.

toy soldiers on par with old type tin soldiers would be armed with spears and shields, swords axes and shields, and wooden sticks with a horses head for thier cav.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

It was an instant order for me, the Skreks are simply amazing. It was a lot of fun to watch their development happen over these last few months.

Just placed an order to give me a complete set, and my Well Excellent Painter Mate some fun things to work on.

Painting wise, we’re coming at these from opposite directions.

Me? How do I push my skills and laziness to ensure a paintjob as smooth as the casts*

My mate? How does he use his unfair frankly witchcraft skills to Not Over Embellish and bring out the careful, deliberate simplicity.

*They’re really smooth. Smoother than a baby’s bottom that’s been thoroughly sandpapered with the very finest silk.

Also?

See this entire range? Perhaps British Dakkanauts of a similar vintage will see correlation with The Trapdoor, Wee Squelchy Thingies out of Calamity James, and shows like Spooks of Bottlebay?

Well now, now well, well well now now now well now.

Bought, as promised, a bunch for me and my excellent Painter friend. The idea being the sculpts and casts of these models being smoother than a baby’s bum that’s recently been sanded down? They make an interesting canvas for my preferred simple tricks, and my friend’s super advanced clever clogs techniques.

And I cannot stress this enough? Psysquig has, at least in my opinion, nailed it.
