It's been a LONG time since I've played with my Grey Knight, like around 6th edition. I've recently thought about pulling them out again. I've never used Paladins, but I have enough models to make a unit of 10, and a Grandmaster, all with max psycannons.

The question is, is a unit of 11 guys with 6 psycannons and 5 stormbolters deepstriking in a stupid idea, or does it have any legitimacy?

I don't think any kind of Terminator unit Deep Striking in is ever a bad idea.

i'm not sure how viable GK deathstars are in 10th edition, but i remember hearing earlier in the edition about CSM deathstars using Abbadon and 10 terminators. so i imagine something similar for GK would be feasible

Did you try it yet?

It sounds like it could work in certain situations.

Like any terminator brick, it will probably be very difficult to remove but also less killy than you'd expect for its points. Making it a great unit for bullying the enemy off of objectives, but at the cost of having fewer overall units for actions, going on the offensive, etc.

My default tactic against lists with one or two terminator units is usually to just ignore them and take advantage of their high cost by killing the rest of the army instead.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.
