With Rumors of SW getting at least a minor refresh in the not too distant future, I was wondering what is going to stay, and what is going to go. SW are more divergent than the other "special" chapters, and I would hope they keep it that way.

I'm thinking there will be the obvious First Born purge, but I can only hope the keep the units alive with a Primaris version (ie, Sky claws replaced with some version of jump pack Assault Intercessors).

As silly as they are, I am hoping to keep Thunderwolves. Long Fangs would also hurt to loose, but we likely will.

Grimnar crosses the Rubicon. Probably loses Santa's Sleigh.

Njal cross the Rubicon. May but probably won't return to two datasheets one Terminator one Power Armor.

I'd say 51/49 Bjorn and Murderfang stay put vs Crossing the Rubicon Themselves - that said they have everything in place to update the sarcophagus for Bjorn already. One Redemptor Arm, one Brutalis Arm. Murderfang probably fades away when Bjorn crosses the Rubicon.

9 out of 10 other named take a vacation in Legends Land.

Terminator And Thunderworlf Lieutenant Wolf Guard escort them there.

Blood Claws switch to the Assault Intercessor base kit.

Grey Hunters may or may not upgrade to the Intercessor Kit. I'd guess 51/49 Not - but they absolutely should.

Power Armor Unit Wolf Guard probably don't change except to get screwed in the rules department.

Terminator Armor Wolf Guard Squad probably don't update scale but should. Unless the second wave happens first for Assault, and Deathwing Terminators.

Hounds of Morkai are all but forgotten, and have a bonkers copy-pasta problem requiring a day 1 FAQ

Wulfen and their little dreadnaught too take the same vacation most of the nameds do.

The Cavalry stay, but the loose wolves do not.

Skyclaws use the JPAI bodies as a base.

The Packleaders stick around, but get a revamp Aeldari style.

Cyberwolves run out of batteries.

Wolf Scouts get a new datasheet that's practically a copy and paste of the normal scouts - and use that kit as a base. Potentially with a sprue of old man heads.

Venerable Dread takes a long long nap deep in the Fang.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.
