Hey guys!

I'm new to aos and started with the skaventide half of skaven, with an additional spearhead, a verminlord, gnawholes, doom flayers, and the Warp weapon teams. And of course the book!

My question is, am I looking at skaven incorrectly? I see my friends armies and for similarly costed units they do seem better in most ways? I know skaven aren't the top of the pack regarding power level, that doesnt bother me. I'm just wondering what skavens strengths are? Good units to look out for, are the armies of renown good?

Just general ratmen advice I guess ?.
