About 14 years ago I went on a spending spurge, and bought anything on ebay that was a part of a titan. I wound up with quite a few goodies. I got about 90% of the torso of a FW Reaver, FW Reaver weapons, two sets of FW reaver thighs, FW reaver head and feet, a FW turbo laser from that terrain piece (that they never officially released as a Reaver weapon for some reason), and a bag of Armorcast "scraps".

Apparently Armorcast sold bags of their miscast stuff at a steep discount for people to make terrain. Well, lucky for me my random buys allowed me to create a full Armorcast Reaver using a 3rd party head and weapons I already had. The only thing wrong with most of the pieces were that the details were mismolded, so I have one titan without all the axes all over it.

Now, I had plenty of pieces left over, including an Armorcast Reaver pelvis, so I decided to resin cast some of my scratch-build masters to make a few more titans, but alas, I couldn't get a decent looking top carapace so I threw it all in a drawer and forgot about it for more than a decade.

Well, now that 3D printers are a thing I decided to revive the idea. Up first is a Hybrid of an Armorcast and Reaver. Literally the only FW resin in it is the upper thighs. YES, I justified a huge 3D printing project by saying I didn't want to waste titan thighs. The shins and feet are from Cults, the Pelvis, ankles, and the parts between the thighs and shins are all my 3D designs. At the moment this is just held together by friction, and is 7.8 inches tall to the top of the waist. I'm thinking Armorcast style torso, scrap-bag armorcast shoulderpads, FW style 3D printed arms and missile launcher, and the long-forgotten custom resin heads I made.

Bonus points for finding the "sacrificial blood" I offered up while cleaning the print.

That's interesting, would love to see the finished article? Am trying to think how to scale up the original GW 1:600 beetle titans to their modern day AT sizes and how to detail them to fit in.

This is a side step on this project. This is another Spare Bits Reaver. What's real FW: head, most of the torso, carapace weapon, volcano cannon, center of the leg, center of the foot. Everything else is PLA from a printer.

In the he picks the head hangs about 3/8 an inch too low and the shoulder armor doesn't seat properly because I bought the wrong bolts to hold it together

I have an Armorcast titan in a box somewhere waiting for me to paint it.

Update on the original pic: pretty much done with it other than assembling the head from my resin casting. It will be identical to the previously pictured head.

This has Armorcast shoulder pads and FW thighs. Most of it is from different STL files I found on Cults, but I had to make a few conversion parts to get it all to fit together.

Notes on assembly: I wanted this to be able to change weaponry in the future, so everything is held together with bolts. I had ZERO confidence PLA filament would be able to be threaded and hold up, so every joint has a metal insert (Brad nuts).

For scale, this is about 105% Armorcast size, and is 14.5 inches tall, putting it halfway between an Armorcast and FW Reaver. FW style weapons were scaled down to 97% to not look oversized. This happy medium means it looks more modern scaled, but is still 100% compatible with Armorcast weapons.

I was shooting for a 50/50 split in the two design styles, and I think I hit it. Nothing seems too out of place.

Aaaaand another one. Kept this one as Armorcast looking as possible. Armorcast missile launcher, shoulder armor, and biceps, resin cast head, FW Thunderhawk cannon as a Volcano cannon, and the rest of the weapons are my own design.

I do have one more head, set of weapons, and shoulder pads (plus some resin shins). Debating on if I need to make another one.
