We don't seem to have a Black Site Studio thread so here we are.

https://blacksitestudio.com/pages/lunarbackroom

They're doing a new Lunar line of realistic space troopers including hard plastic Astronauts and Cosmonauts.

Some highlights about this kit are

10 USA Torsos & Legs (Inspired by the Apollo Era suits)*
10 USSR Torsos & Legs (Inspired by the Kretchet-94 suits)*
Fully interchangeable parts.
Multipart arm options that cover a large range of Lunar items.
USA Helmet Options that cover both the Apollo AL7 and A7-LB Styles.
Soviet Helmets
Non-Helmeted Heads
32mm bases.
Parts are designed for maximum modularity.

$40 for 20 astronauts. I'm in.

https://blacksitestudio.com/products/lunar-multipart-plastic-astronauts

Astronauts have long been on my mini wishlist and these look like a lot of fun with a lot of potential.

Now someone do hazmat suits!

Blacksite are also making the other Lunar factions and vehicles purchasable as STL downloads for those who have a 3D printer. The first batch went up this week.

I have only just started getting into BSG (Don’t look back parcel arrived this week and currently waiting for my big Lunar parcel to ship) and been impressed with the quality of the products and much they actually care about their games.

The Crashed Rocket Graveyard terrain looks pretty sweet. I have bookmarked them for future interest.

Also, strong early Judge Dredd Lunar War vibes from those astronauts.

Urusei Yatsura, Cerebus the Aardvark, Machiavelli, Plato and Happy Days. So, how was your childhood?

Facinating. I had no idea there was such a demand for astronauts as to make a plastic kit viable.

Very cool though. I have no use for suited up EVA astronauts, but I'd love to have a bunch without helmets or backpacks for starship and starbase crew.

It looks like there's some unhelmeted heads and backpacks are separate.

Dang, looks like we missed the pre-order which was a significant discount.

Lunar used to have low gravity astronauts in jump suits for using inside but stopped making them last year. They have just announced they will be back as STL files. They also have half suited versions.

The Slaughterbrute could be a good base to start with! Failing that, the old Finecast Scyla Anfingrimm from Warhammer Fantasy would be even closed to it!

Fantasy armies - Retired (Tomb Kings, Vampires, Empire, Chaos Warriors/Daemons, Dark Elves)

Tyranids army - Ever evolving, but about 10k pts
Custodes - 3,500pts (Fully painted yay!)
Thousand Sons - 4,000 pts
Eldar - 3,000pts

I think I'd have preferred if there was a bigger asthetic/visual difference between the cosmonaut and astronaut figure lines so that they'd be instantly recognizeable at the typical tabletop distance.

Sounds like a job for Wargames Atlantic Cannon Fodder?

Not for me. I'm just not a fan of the weird ginormous zippers. Throws the whole look off for me.

I saw the lunar figured back then. Wasn't into the price or the poses.

These new plastic astronauts look good for me based on the chunky suits, good price, and the HIPS material which I prefer over resin when possible.

Lunar is much bigger scale. 32mm true scale. Very close to Modiphius stuff and Wyrd.

Thanks for the clarification. Depending on how big, that could knock them out of consideration. I'll have to see some scale comparison pics before any purchase.
