So I just bought the model and I am getting ready to paint him.  My question is:  Has anyone used him?  If so, how did/does he work for you?  I find the special abilities interresting but I am not sure that they are really effective.

Can he be used in a non-Emperors Children list?

How does Aura of Acquiesence interact with Lash of Torment?

Im looking forward to painting lucius too, nice model. However, im not at all enthusiastic about fielding him. For his price he gets no special movement mode, so you need to give him transportation and a squad to enter the transport with. Then you propably have to tool the squad to fit this role, and so we are talking a roughly 400pts unit even in a rhino. A land raider would allow for easier charges, but that'd just be solving a problem with a bigger one I guess hed perform very well in any combat he can reach, but I'd have to go with a chaos lords better movement even if it means less combat ability. Fielding Lucius does earn you style points though

Lucius can be fielded in any CSM army he can lead. That is limited by his Mark of Slaanesh. Aura of Acquiscense of course overrides tha Lash of Torments -ld ability since no morale check will be taken, but otherwise im not certain of the Lash's ability. Maybe he can participate from within a locked squad he has joined and attack models hes not encaged with?

I really dont think Hes worth it. I guess it depends on what kind of army youre planning on playing, but you can get a lord for 200 some points with stature,flight, T6 , S10 with dark blade, and like 7 attacks on the charge with combat drugs. or you can put him on a bike with a melta and either way it will kill more models faster than lucius, plus it can get into combat faster without having to use the fragile rhino or expensive land raider.

the lash of torment is a great piece of wargear for independent characters. It means that independent characters can fight in close combat, but not be hit back at all. with Lucius's special abilityies this is perfect.
