Image Description: Progress on the forward turret. I got the Taurox upper hull front and carefully cut out the turret ring (A). It had the perfect size to fit over the round hatch in the Chimera top without getting into conflict with the added LR top hull. As I hoped it gives just the little amount of elevation needed for the turret to rotate withot scratching the elevated structure of the LR hull (2nd and 3rd picture). In the 2nd picture you can also see where I made a cut in "wall" that seperates the Chimeras pilot from the troop compartment and glued in a piece of sprue (red arrow). This was done to assist alignment of the Chimera and LR hull parts and give more area to glue them together.
Pyroalchi 2020-04-19 07:17:05 I also build a new hatch (B) since the normal Chimera hatches cannot open sensibly any more with the added turret. So I tried to build this thingy that is intended to go up a small way and then rotate out of the way around this little sprue cylinder.
