This mini was for a Black Templar's army I had planned but never got much farther then the planning stage. (1 squad and the Champ here)
The idea was to have each mini based in a different environment, with the mini weathered in a manner to look like he was in the environment depicted. The Emperor's Champion was inspired by Branagh's Henry V Agincourt Action sequence. I wanted to try and capture the feel of armor that was wet with rain and covered in mud, as though he had been knocked down repeatedly and kept getting back up.
