Image Description: Well, this model took around four hours to get to this stage (not including construction and drying times); it's mostly finished, but for applying a dark wash to the sword handle's grip, and of course basing the model.
This is the first Incubus I've painted, and I like how it's ended up.
I'm quite pleased with myself for this one - it's one of the fastest models I've painted (barring extremely simple figures, like Night Goblins and Black Orcs), and yet one of the most detailed as well - the simple colour scheme helped (everybody loves black!), and the fact I go for a cartoony approach rather than realistic shading on my 40k and WHFB models certainly made things quicker than they otherwise would be, but this looks really nice in the flesh (the blue of the sword's edge, for example, is a lot subtler when not seen through a camera lens), and I look forward to having a full unit of these Incubi stomping around the battlefield :) |
