TheHarleqwin Painting 10/10, Coolness 10/10 @ 2012-11-03 13:57:13
This end result is fantastic. I hope it wouldn't be a bother if I asked, but would you mind telling me the process for this if you happen to remember it? IE; Base coat, colours, washes, whether it was freehand or airbrush?
I would love to get a similar result. |

 thank you : )
All freehand. Colours... can't quite remember! I probably started off with a dark grey, then gave it a wash of black. Then highlighted back up to the base grey, and then a shade lighter on top of that. I wanted it to look pearlescent, so I did very thin, delicate layers of blues and pinks in certain areas. Lastly, just as a bit of an experiment really, I put a coat of iridescent ink over the top, so that when you move it in sunlight, it's iridescent on top of the paint.
Hope that helps! There's probably more detailed instructions on my main Eldar blog, but I have no idea what page it'd be on! ; ) |
