The Hellblade fighters were painted with thin Necron Abyss splotches which were then partially painted in with thinned Mordian Blue. Dwarf Bronze was highlighted with thinned down Burnished Gold for a nice, fairly new bronze colour finish. The cockpit interiors were painted before the canopies were glued on. The scenic flying stands were created by cutting up and carefully gluing down parts from various GW sprues like the Barricades Sprue, Chaos Vehicle Accessory Sprue, and Zombie Sprue. After the glue dried I covered the base around the bits carefully with a medium coarseness black textured paint medium, sculpting channels in places when the textured medium was semi-dry. After the textured medium was completely dry I dry-brushed Codex Grey on the textured medium, then I painted the scenic bits and the lava channels. |
