I just finished my Chaos Hellblade Fighters. If you want more details about construction and painting of the scenic bases and Hellblades, you can find it in the Dakka Gallery pictures where you may also vote on these images. Here's the Dakka Gallery link for my Chaos Marines. And as always, modeling and painting questions are welcome here and I'll do my best to answer them.

Thanks for the interest. Getting a view of the pilots in those tiny cockpits is no easy feat, but I managed to get a fairly decent photo.

Those are really nice. I like them a lot. The basing is also excellent; the cracked lava combined with the various bits and bobs is really interesting.

If you don't mindme asking, how did you cut the cross shaped indentation to mount the hellblade to the stand?

Good question, I've been expecting it. The answer is that I didn't. The center of gravity is near the front of the main hull just under the cockpit and it's not thick enough there to cut deep enough to make a hole for the flying stands. Instead, I added onto the model with some highly durable quick drying putty and made the proper indentation in that. It's on the bottom and will hardly get viewed. Since anything else I could think of involved some disfigurement to the model anyway (e.g., holes for pins or magnets) I decided to go this route.

This product gets too hard to shape after 5 minutes and is rock hard in 15 minutes. It's not good for detailed sculpting, but for jobs that don't require much sculpting time it works great and you can be painting it literally minutes after you use it. I've often used it for rocks and other things for models to stand upon. I also used it to make irregular growths on some Nurgle Terminators years ago.

Thanks very much.

I need some more votes on these in the Dakka Gallery in order to have a visible rating, so if some of the people here who liked them could take a moment, please visit these pics in the Gallery at this link and vote. Thanks!
