Image Description: Here is a heads up if you're ever considering a Takara Galleon kit. These kits are originals from the early 1980's, with no re-issues that I know of. The material for the track units will harden over time, and lose their flexibility. Try to bend them, and they snap. I lucked up with my first Galleon kit, with only an end piece of one track being hard. But both tracks with this kit were shot. So, I ordered two sets of AFV Club 1/35 NATO/German flexible tracks (one for the M113 and one for M548s). If they are not too wide (the original Takara units were a bit wide, like the Crusher Joe anime tank), I can make them work. |
