OK, so i understand everyone has an opinion on set units within a codex that they like to use, like in a Space Marine army, you either like bikes, or you will never use them. You either like Land Speeders, of you don't. Totally understandable. However in the argument of "this unit is useless, don't ever use it" when someone asks about there list, why have i never seen one person just say cool, good list. Its always "you should change this or that" if everyone played with the same list 40k would get old and no one would play. I have been to a GM tournament, I'm not good enough to win anything but i have worked my way there a few times, i know how to play, and my biggest fear is that random list that someone made to be crazy. like all armor, or one time i had to play a SM player that had a whole army of Drop pods and 10 man Space marine squads. it was like 12 Drop pods of cover and stupid firepower. He made it far before a Daemons army took him out.

In short, there's no one list, there is no one unit or army. Its made that way for a reason, Matt Ward I think is doing a good job, the world of the Dark and Grim Future of Warhammer 40k is built for the Imagination, it creates a standard, then breaks it in displays of ridiculousness.

Take Drago, the Warp is a crazy place, and Drago is doomed to face his life in the warp, where he kills them by the hundreds. The story of The IOM isn't so different, all the Xenos and Trainers and Daemons and Tide of Orks, and they still stand tall and charge there enemy with the Fire Hatred and faith in the Emperor. The only answer? The Emperor Protects.
