As discussed here:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/212718.page

This is a I screen, you screen list.

Nobz with a 4+ cover save and FNP. Seems nice.

Everyone runs forward...and in a couple turns there are a bunch of nobz and grots in your line.

Kannons provide cover fire.

What's not to love?

Nasty. Ultra boring to play against more than one time, but nasty. Make movement trays for the standard formation FTW. I move 150+ models in less than 2 minutes. Back to you. LOL

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

I think they are weak to S8 AP3 pie plates. Can you even take a cover save against indirect pie plates?

I think at least one squad of 20 shoota boyz will suit you better than 40 of those grotz will. You don't need to give it a nob.

Gretchin still suck, and Shootaboyz WAAGH and have shooting, enough to force a morale check.

I'm just saying.

Also, a trukk wouldn't kill you.

Kudos on moving so fast. Do you have pics of your movement trays? I'd like to see them.

If you intersperse, yes.

Meh if you are gonna bring boyz, don't bring 2 units of gretchin? Can't cover the nobs then.

Why do you want people falling back? Banner nobs kick the sh** out of everything in CC. You want them to stay around.

A trukk...so I can take a pin test when everything the other guy has shoots me out of it? lol you need alot of threat units to run trukks.

I do not see any threats but the nobs and kannons. Do grots scare you? lol

every squad falling back is one less squad shooting at you.

you can always hide one trukk, which can then get a turn 2 charge.

it's not that they scare me, it's that gretchin don't do anything anyway.

Getting a turn 2 charge isn't really the point though, is it?

Gotta work within the flow of the army.

Sending off a squad by itself just removes 1/3 of your hitting power, let's it be countered on a different turn from your primary assault turn, and weakens the army.

I was just suggesting. My buddy Krom and Krog has done movement trays for his orks .. he went basic square. He put the orks in a basic block formation with half inch spacers to form form ranks and columns. This protected him pretty well from v4 blast templates and let him move all his boyz in minutes.

Same principal could be designed around your living shield ... just use foamboard and space them appropriatly and put them in your formation. Imagine the GF9 Skirmisher trays format.

Hell, you could even just make a round or oval template and put the models on it without any spacing .. you'd jsut have to be careful when moving it.

I have found that any time you start playing with 100+ figs you have to be careful with time investment. The enemy usually deliberates how they are going to stop it far longer than usual so you have to keep your turns faily effecient time wise or they take too much of your tournement time. Plus ending your turn so quickly makes them sweat and do rash things ...

Well I have run Eldar, Ork, and Tyranid hordes.

I got quite adept at moving them very quickly, even doing the 'fleet' in shooting and moving twice.

I would be exhausted afterwords though. lol it's alot of work!

I hope I can get more free time so I can get Krom up here to play.
