Alright, all the 'all powerful Emprah!' jokes aside, What would be a good 5th ed ruleset be for the big gold man? In a different topic it was brought up, but what do you people think? What would his price be? How much is too much?
Let's say for all intents and purposes for this that The Emperor is post-heresy but somehow managed to get off of the throne and start walking around killing things again. Not a warp god, not starchild theory, just the emperor if he were healthy again. The original stats were:
The Emperor;
Were he came from or whom gave him birth none can tell. On Terra he began what many had tried and failed before. A supreme vision, a great dream, The Galaxy united with every man, woman and child safe from the evils of the void, alien, mutant and heretic. It is he, The Master of mankind, lord of earth, king of the stars, the Emperor.
The Emperor ; Points: 750

Equipment
Tartarus, Fist of Terra, Martian mantle, Teleport homer.
Tartarus ;This sword was forged in the fires of earth’s molten core itself. The blade cuts through even the strongest armor with its fiery rage. Tartarus is a master crafted Relic blade that can be fired as a heavy flamer in the shoot phase.
Fist of Terra; this power fist crushes the life from any who are brave or foolish enough to come to close to the Emperor. The Fist of Terra counts as a Master crafted Power fist that causes Instant Death to any model that is wounded by it regardless of toughness. It also counts as a Chainfist against vehicles.
(The emperor can choose to use either weapon in the assault phase. This must be determined before any combats are resolved. He however cannot fire his heavy flamer in the shoot phase and use his power fist in the assault phase)
Martian Mantle ;This suit of armor counts as a suit of terminator armor that grants the emperor a 3+ invulnerable save.
Special Rules ; Independent character, Eternal Warrior, Fearless.
Psyker Supreme; the emperor knows all the psychic powers available to Space Marine Librarians and he can use up to three per turn. The emperor is furthermore immune to perils of the warp; if a 12 is rolled the power simply fails.
Divine guidance due to his psychic abilities any units coming in by Deep Strike will only scatter D6 inches.
The Emperor Protects; The emperor is the imperium itself and all who stride by his side are filled with hope and courage as the blows of the enemy are deflected by an unseen force. All friendly models within 12 inches of the emperor receive a 5+ invulnerable save, Vehicles count as obscured, and may use his leadership for any tests they are required to take.
Living God ; The emperor’s presence is like a shining beacon of hope to his servants and a burning void of doom to his enemies. No enemy units may gain any leadership bonuses within 12 inches of the emperor. Furthermore any units who wish to charge the emperor must take a leadership test to see if they can do so, units that are fearless are immune to this rule.
Bodyguard ; Legio Custodes ; 30 points each
The emperor may take 2-10 Custodes as Bodyguards. If this is done the Emperor and the Custodes count as a single unit and may not be separated. (This is more the Custodes following the Emperor then him not leaving them)

The Legio Custodes are the emperors personal bodyguards tasked with his protection. Each wears ancient armor forged by the most renowned Artificers and wields weapons of terrible power.
Special Rules ;Immune to Psychology , the Legio Custodes are Psychic nulls who are given training to resist the influences of the warp. Only Psychic powers that have a given strength can be targeted at the custodies, all others simply have no effect.
Wargear Artificer armor, Master Crafted Relic Blade, Storm Bolter
Options up to two Custodes may replace their Storm Bolters with Psycannons at 25 points each, or an Incinerator at 10 points each.
I say give him WS/BS 8, S7, re-roll failed saves, rending, he gives the squad he joins preferred enemy 'all', and make him 1250ish.
Legio Custodes IMO should be 20 each.
What's your opinion? I really don't think the imperium needs any more ultimate weapons in the actual game, but what would he be?

Looks good, but why so much toughness and strenght, he isnt a deamon. And the custodes are waaay underpriced. 30pt for 2 mastercrafted str 6 PW attacks and a 2+ save.

I agree with Sharik. The emperor should be only S5 T5. This is not bad considering he has str boosting equipment. Have you considered making Horus? It'd be a cool scenario.

This isn't my stuff. someone else found it in one of the original books. I have yet to try my hand at IC stats writing; I haven't played long enough.
Good point about the Custodes, Sharik. There should also be Terminator Custodes, IMO. And both of you, HE'S THE GOD EMPEROR!!!! He's supposed to be godlike in stats. If Sanguinius could break a bloodthirsters back over his broken knee then this guy should be badass. Besides, my price for him is more than a reaver titan with the most expensive arms.

I am the one who wrote the emperors stats on the other topic discussion(shameless glorifying of myself  ) Anyway I whanted him to be GODlike but not over powered(Horus does have to be able to kill him after all  ) I just thought of a rule the could be called Desperate measures or something. rule would allow emperor to lose a point of health and instant death one opposing model or maybe just when he dies the model that kills him automatically loses all health? WS 8 sounds good (why does Saguinius have WS 10 it does the same thing as 8) and any thing over BS 6 would be pointless. Terminator custodes would cost 60 pts maybe? but if custodes are near the Emperor they have a 5+ inv from him and have a 2+ armor save standard.

Should give him Iron Will, he decides to pass or fail all tests. And allow him a Psychic power whereas he can banish things to the warp, every turn on a 3+ that thing is transported to the warp, they then count as reserves as they may or may not come back.

Don't the deamon primarchs have special rules that are demonic and not coming over from the emperor?

Eternal Warrior
Stormbolter with Soulfire Ammunition (Wounds on 2+, AP2, ignores invulnerable saves)
Leader of men: The space emprah and his army is assumed to pass all leadership and pinning tests they are required to take.
Tactical supremacy: The space emprah's army always chooses board position, deploys second and goes first. He confers the special rules "fleet, infiltrate and scout" on his entire army.
Beacon in the warp: Deepstriking units do not scatter.
Psyker Supreme: The Space Emprah automatically casts psychic powers and may use up to three if he moves and shoots, five if he moves or shoots, and seven if he does not move or shoot. Being in a moving transport counts as moving - so no sneaky moves here!
The Space Emprah has all the space marine (and sublist psychic abilities) but with twice the normal range.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA.
