I love Khorne, I love World Eaters, I want to run an infantry horde as per this thread:

Since I already have alot of Bezerkers, I figured I might as well just expland them instead of start over to make Black Templars. Plus the loyalists color schemes and such don't really do it for me. This shouldn't be that difficult for counts as either, since I'm not using "scouts/initiates".

Khorne's Champion (Emperor's Champion) - 140
Accept any Challenge

Khorne Lord (Marshal) - 140
Iron Halo, Lightning Claws

10 World Eater Chosen (Sword Brethren) - 180

So, 90 warm bodies Righteous Zealing towards you. Obviously, there are some things that will completely screw me, but on the whole, this should be a fun army for most types of play. I've also though about breaking the terminators up into two squads of 5, so one would be a command squad for the marshal, giving them a little more flexibility in movement. The other idea is to add in some "scouts" to bulk out the crusader squads and use as bullet sponges. This also frees up some points to add in power weapons/fists/meltas, or whatever, but means I have to figure out a way to do World Eater Scouts, (without copping out and just painting scouts red!).

So, thoughts?

So I guess my list is solid then!

I Think it looks pretty solid indeed, i've contemplated doing the same thing but with the blood angels codex, since the world eaters doesnt have a codex that lets them shine we have to be crafty.

As far as a fun horde of berserkers list goes, I like this one, from a gaming standpoint though, wherever those thunder hammer termies arent is a place where a tank will be and unable to be killed.

Death comes for you.

You need fists and a special weapon in every squad or you wont be able to do much to Mech lists, Dreads, MC's etc.

Ditch the bolters on the the last three squads, IMO.

And, by not taking initiates, you really miss out, IMO. Besides you could easily make some really cool conversions using Chaos Marauders.

That way, you could increase model count, and increase special and heavy weapons. Without melta and fist support, you will have a really hard time hurting most lists.

The infiltrating sword brethren are cool though as they give you a lot of flexibility, but again, you need some bite in those squads.

Righteous Zeal makes the terminators incredibly fast. You have to shoot them with something that will completely wipe them out or they will be on you. That's why I did 2x 5 instead of 1x 10.

And Reece, I was thinking the same thing really, but Initiates/Scouts don't benefit from the Vow, and are really only filler. They do allow me to get some melta and fists though, and I think they up my model count to about 110-120...

The Sword Brethren do need something, as they are the real "Oh gak" I'm thinking, when you start off with 20 marines 12" away from you on turn one, with 60-80 more right behind them.

Bringing this back from the dead with some new thoughts.

Obviously, a foot horde needs grimaldus to keep the boys zealing forward as one. Plus, the Sword Brethren so far forward are likely to just get isolated and die quickly, so I'm contemplating taking them out completely, or not infiltrating them every time. Or hell, maybe just outflank I guess.

Any other thoughts? Should I try to make a coupler smaller squads with some fire support and a razorback or two?
