= 2000 on the nose.

Granted, the name is a bit misleading, as Logan doesnt have all the krak he could, but he still has plenty of krak, as he loves krak. To be exact, he has 25 krak (per turn) The speeders are there to kill that land raider when it shows up, or to block enemy movement. Dreads pummel light mech and block enemy assaults. Everything can move and fire their entire payload except the long fang squads, so the army is fairly mobile. If the enemy does close you can pop living legend on Logan and torrent the enemy with 100 normal CC attacks and 20 PF attacks from the wolf guard (lol)

C&C appreciated!

You really should try to make those speeders into Typhoons, just because.

Could not the Dreads have missile launchers as well, to bring the total up to 35? (I don't know space wolves well enough to know if maybe they can't take those?)

Trade in one Wolf Guard unit and your standard Dreadnought for Bjorn to make sure you go first with your Alpha Strike and you're set.

Best of all, your opponent has to deal with Bjorn and once he goes your entire army becomes Fearless for the remainder of the game. This is key as your Long Fangs won't have to take tests as they start to take casualities.

This is actually a tournament army list that has been used a lot at the local tournaments here in SoCal.

That list is definitely nuts. It's not particularly difficult to kill all of the models you have, but it IS difficult to survive their shooting, especially the first list which I think has plenty of Krak to smoke your enemies at range, but is a bit more balanced overall. I might, however, drop one of the Rifleman Dreads to give each of those Land Speeders a Typhoon Launcher, then make the two remaining Dreads into LC/ML Dreads.

33 Krak Missiles, 2 Multi-Meltas, 2 Lascannons, a pile of Bolters. I think I might have to amuse myself with this list once or twice.

All these lists need more Dakka!!!! Okay, not really...personally, I don't think these would be any kind of list you would play against friends, save for those times when you want to be ridiculous...

Riddiculositude (yes that's a word....wanna fight about it?) is the whole point of this kind of list! I'd take it against friends and expect them to laugh their asses off, as I would, weather or not the list actually worked as intended.

To be perfectly honest, when I see lists like this, my spirit dies a little inside.

It pretty much just goes without saying that it is all or nothing and is very similar to a Kamikaze in that it'll either devestate the enemy or go down in flames shamefully.

Actually this style of list is used quite often in tournaments because there are very few lists out there than can withstand that many missiles in one round of shooting. Land Raiders and Monoliths can, but everything else usually has AV11 or 12, which missiles can very easily penetrate and either shake, stun, or destroy. IF your opponent is stunned or loses their transports on turn 1 there is not a whole lot they can do to you.

Yes there are lists out there that will dominate a list like this, but the absurdity of it is half the fun sometimes!

The builds like this that I have seen aren't really intimidated by Land Raiders since you pack melta guns and combi-meltas in your troop units.

@ Aldarionn, not to get off topic, but do I know you? Your profile says that you are from San Diego so I wonder if you ever play at Game Empire?

Thats only in the second list, if I wanted to max out the krak. If I actually played this I'd use the first one as its more balance IMO, and it has 3 MM speeders which should be sufficient to kill a land raider.

Yes! Yes I do! A friend and I play there every Thursday, and sometimes on Wednesdays if he works on Thursday. I play Space Wolves and Eldar, he plays......a lot of stuff (Primarily Blood Angels). We usually get there right around opening time and stay until early afternoon if you care to join us for a game sometime. I'll PM you. Were going to be there tomorrow.

HAHA just kidding I actually like this list a lot. It is deadly and if you take it to a comp heavy tournament will suffer but I find it to be powerful.

I played a list that was very similar to this with my Thunderwolf army (see below) and found it well...underwhelming. If someone hugs terrain right and denies enough shots they can make all of those missiles not count for much. I found it to be devastating when all of the firepower was brought to bear (happened at the beginning of the game with one squad being hit with 15 Krak Missiles); however, if that rate of fire can't be maintained and an army has the stamina and force, it can pull through and wreck your day.

Thunderwolf List:

H.Q.

Canis -185

Thunderwolf Lord
Storm Shield, Frost Blade, Runic Armor, Wolf Tooth Necklace, Saga of the Warrior Born -265

Thunderwolf Lord
Storm Shield, Thunder Hammer, Runic Armor, Wolf Tooth Necklace, Saga of the Bear -270

Fenrisian Wolves 10x -80

Thunderwolves 4x
1 Bolter, 1 Standard, 1 Thunder Hammer/Storm Shield, 1 Storm Shield -290

Thunderwolves 4x
1 Bolter, 1 Standard, 1 Power Fist/Storm Shield, 1 Storm Shield -285

Thunderwolves 4x
1 Bolter, 1 Standard, 1 Power Weapon/Storm Shield, 1 Storm Shield -275

Total: 2000

Objective games are an uphill battle for me but I think 17 Thunderwolves would be up to the task...
