Hi, those who have come from my poll already know what this is about. This is my first 'convert to ork' challenge; in this I post a poll with a selection of vehicles and people vote for the one they want me to covert to ork (loot), I will then post a P&M blog here as I do it, as I am now, and will also paint the model and will then sell it on ebay as an auction.

This time, the stormraven has won.

The stormraven arrived this morning so I've just got started so no pics yet, I will post some either later today or tomorrow. For now, here is what I have planned:
-Rotary, spinning blades on each wing. (built, to be attached and painted).
-Ork with big shoota shooting from open front ramp. (modelled head, to be painted and attached).
-Rear ramp held shut using rope. (Done)
-Extra AA-gun attached to the top. (Modelled, to be painted and attached)
-Ork with makeshift shield somewhere on top. (modelled, to be painted and attached).

I will post a finished pic on this original post once it is finished as well, but you'll have to scroll through to find wip pics. remember it's gonna be going on ebay as long as i am able to gain a profit, thanks.

I will have posted pics by the end of today, but I can't guarantee there'll be mush progress as I've got an essay exam for history on monday and tuesday so I'm trying to prepare as much research for that as possible (as well as cheating a bit and doing some at home to copy up at school). But after that, I've got the rest of the week free at home, then the next week I'm away for a family gathering at my grans house which means I'll be able to work on it a lot down there as I don't like most of that side of the family so I don't want to talk to them, but I won't be able to take pics while down there and post them as I'll never be able to get my hands on the decent camera so expect massive progress on the weekend afterwards.

Hey, sorry about the delay with the pics but just I realised that the inside would have to be painted as twoo of the doors are gonna be completely open, so I started painting which took me a while because I get bored easily while painting. I painted to an average standard as it's inside so won't get too many looks.

I used scab red as a base coat then drybrushed blood red quite lightly over that and highlighted with with a 2:1 of Blood red:Skull white (which I need some more of now). Anyway,this looked too new so I drybrushed boltgun metal over that to make it look as if orks had been looking after it. Then just to confirm it's orkyness I painted a bit of graffiti on the walls.







Sorry about the quality of the last one. Don't worry about it getting accidentally sprayed over when I spray the outside; I've got plans to shut all dorrs possible and seal any holes with sellotape.

Remembering that this is only the inside, what do you guys think so far? C&C welcome.

Edit: I will be working on the rotary blades next as well as an ork with a makeshift shield who's gonna be standing on top, I should have it up by tomorrow, and as always C&C is welcome. Also, don't forget that this will be going on ebay so I can make a profit from this and start the challenge over so I can supply the world with crazy looted vehicles and fund my own ork army, so sub if interested.

paint job looks good dude, but then I'm hardly a professional painter. looking forward to seeing the rest of this project.

First, I'm confused about whether you're angry or impressed due to caps lock.

I glued it together like 5 minutes ago and now you come to me with this idea!? I might still be able to paint a bit of blood on the front ramp as that's gonna be open though.

That is a cool idea!

Remove the Imperial and gothic decorations and replace them with very Orky looking ones. An example would the gothic arches underneath the benches.

hey guys, no pics at moment and 'fraid I'm going away for just over a week tomorrow but I'll work on it at the family reunion. Then lots of pics at end of the week hopefully although I can't guarantee anything as may be forced to get involved with the family reunion or some c**p like that.

hey guys, sorry I been absent for so long, I will post pics tomorrow, I've just been trying to get one more thing done before I take pics and now I've realised I'm a week late so sorry about that. Just to let you know, I've done the rotary blades, repositioned an ork head to make it look like he's actually shooting and have almost completed the extra aa-gun and have finished modelling the 'makeshift shield' ork. So, see you tomorrow, which is in about 10 minutes now.

Looks good dude, I'm slowly getting the parts i need for the looted drop pod, but i'm kinda on the fence as to whether or not i want to scratchbuild the treads i'm gonna need, or if i should order from Blood and Skulls. Although, i confess i'm leaning more toward Blood and Skulls day by day.

Hey its cool, we all have oither commitments other than our little plastic men. So aslong as the next update is good it will all be forgiven lol.

yeah, life has to come before games, if you don't take of the things that need taking care, then you won't never have the necessary things for the games in the first place.

Ok, i'm finally back! No pics for now though but expect some next week. I've painted up one of the orks and am now attempting to create cockpits that orks can fit in, it's not easy.

Anyway, painting should be easier now that I'm used to painting green again.
