Hey everyone, I've recently been enticed by the new(ish) Dark Eldar models, and have given in to collecting them. Here's a list of what I plan to get:
- Lord Jeffery (Archon)
- Incubi (4 Incubi and Klaivex)
- Mandrakes (5 Mandrakes)
- Harlequins (5 Harlequins, a Death Jester, Shadowseer and Troupe Master)
- 2 Kabalite Warrior squads, each with 9 Kabalite Warriors and a Sybarite
- 2 Wyches squads, each with 9 Wyches and a Hekatrix
- Scourges (5 Scourges)
- Venom (Dedicated transport for the Incubi)
- 2 Raiders, one a dedicated transport for a Kabalite Warrior squad, the other for a Wyches squad
- 2 Razorwing Jetfighters
The army will come to 1997 points - I haven't put any details on each squad's loadout in case it breaches any copyright laws
You can probably see that my army is very Kabalite-centered, which is because I'm not that keen on the Haemonculi covens or the Wych cults - the 2 Wych squads will be converted from Kabalite Warriors.
Anyway, the point of this thread is to post pictures of my army as I gradually build it up, but don't expect frequent updates as I am currently doing my GCSEs. Oh, and don't expect any amazing work either
So far I've managed to finish a Harlequin Death Jester, and make a start on my Incubi squad. Here's the Death Jester:
More pictures can be found by clicking here
And here is the Incubi squad (yes, they are Sackboys in the background, along with Morph!):
One of the Incubi:
And the Klaivex, denoted by having Mithril Silver painted on his helmet, shoulder pads and knee pads:
Well, there you have it . I'll be getting more models tomorrow, but as I said don't expect regular updates. Please feel free to comment below!

Really like the colour scheme
Maybe the paint is a tad thick
The background clutter is a bit distracting
Try getting some paper propped up behind the figures and stand the figures on the paper - hope that makes sense.
Good job! :thumbsup

Thanks! I'll bear both points in mind for future models/pictures
Here's the pain tokens I've made, credit for the idea going to my brother, and help with the construction going to my Dad:
Basically each base has three holes in, so as a squad gains a pain token a spear is slotted in. As I 'collect' spare heads from different races I shall stick them onto the spears And here's an example of a pain token with the spears pulled out:

And here's one of the Incubi, finally finished:
I've gone for a similar colour scheme to the GW ones on the box cover.

Here is my Archon, Lord Jeffery, with a Blaster (which I know is uncommon) and an Agoniser, although I kept the Huskblade he comes with:
And here are my Kabalite Warriors - the Sybarite has been given a Venom Blade, and two Kabalite Warriors are armed with a Splinter Cannon and Blaster:
Here is the Raider, with a Disintegrator Cannon and Chain-snares. Not all parts have been glued yet, and I'm not sure whether to add the passengers hanging onto the sides. Oh, and I'd like to say that the Raider (in my opinion) is one of the best, if not the best, vehicle kit GW has produced - particularly for its price. Having so many moving parts and intricate details, plus extra bits to add, I think it's amazing! Anyway, here it is:
And here are the Wyches - the Hekatrix has an Agoniser and Splinter Pistol, and two Wyches have Hydragauntlets. They were converted from the Kabalite Warriors kit, with spare knives from Space Marine parts.
Feel free to comment!

Just a thought: on your Gauntlet Wyches, you don't need Splinter Pistols, as the Hydra GHauntlets replace the pistol as well as their close combat weapon. The idea of combat Kabalites is prefectly sound, I can't believe most warriors would be content with letting the Wyches get exclusive rights to the melee action!
Jeffrey's (you know, he's never going to forgive you for calling him Jeffrey. He will roll a 1 for every shot he takes with that blaster, and then fail the 5+ re-roll just for spite!) blaster is an interesting notion, I normally shy away from big weapons on my characters, as they tend to draw attention from the characters themselves, and if I've spent hours prettying up my HQ's armour and whatnot, I don't want people to go "Ooh, big gun" and forget the rest of him. You've matched the head to the arm's postion nicely, but my first though is "tear the arm off and convert the hell out of it", so that it doesn't cover him up so much.
Edit: Also, nice work on the Raiders, it's good to see a properly assembled boat. My Raiders are all second-hand, and one of my ministrations have changed the fact that they look they were out together by a drunk toddler. In the dark. So I am supremely jealous of how nice yours is. The finished incubus is pretty neat, what do you plan on doing with their bases, if anything?

I only left the Splinter Pistols on because I didn't have any empty-handed right arms, but I'll look out for how I can improve them
About Jeffery, the Blaster is actually moulded into the arm, so it would be hard to rotate it, although perhaps in another kit it may come in a better position, like with the Scourges.
The Raider took about an hour to make, an I plan to put stones on everyone's bases like with my Death Jester.

The picture isn't too clear, but they aren't actually fingers, just the grip that's a bit wide.

Thanks! If you're looking to start an army, I'd seriously recommend starting a Dark Eldar one - it's practically 3 armies in one book (Kabalites, Wyches and Haemonculi), the models are awesome and they are amazing on the table!

Just had a little look at the blaster arm on one of my sprues, and I think it would be possible to remove the blaster from the arm by cutting the hand off at the wrist and removing the stock (easily replaced, all those spare splinter rifles on the Raider sprue. I may try doing this to give one of my warriors a one-handed grip on his blaster....

Ok, so I've finished painting the Incubi squad, just need to base it now, here's the Klaivex:
And his squad:
I recently played two 700-point games with my current army (I should have done battle reports, sorry), the first against Tau and the second against Tyranids. I was thrashed in the battle against the Tau, not scoring a single casualty! However, I did win the Tyranid battle, my Incubi and Archon doing extremely well by killing 4 of the 7 units my opponent had, and from both fights have decided to make a few tweaks to my army:
- Lord Jeffery (Archon, now with a Splinter Pistol instead of a Blaster - it was useless as my Archon was always in combat)
- Incubi (8 Incubi and Klaivex)
- Tormentus (A Raider, derived from the Latin terms 'Infinitas Tormentum' meaning 'an infinite amount of torture' , a dedicated transport for my Archon and Incubi))
- Harlequins (5 Harlequins, a Death Jester, Shadowseer and Troupe Master)
- 2 Kabalite Warrior squads, each with 10 Kabalite Warriors
- 2 Wyches squads, each with 9 Wyches and a Hekatrix
- 2 Scourges squads, each with 5 Scourges
- 2 Raiders, one a dedicated transport for a Kabalite Warrior squad, the other for a Wyches squad
- 2 Razorwing Jetfighters
I'm currently starting to paint my Archon and hope to have pictures of him up soon, plus will shortly be buying a Scourges and Razorwing Jetfighter kit
As usual, all comments welcome!

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't posted for a while, I've been VERY busy... But just a quick update, I have basecoated my Kabalite Warriors and Wyches, and begun basing my Archon and Incubi. I've also built and basecoated my first squad of Scourges, along with a Razorwing Jetfighter which is semi-built and semi-painted! Hopefully I'll get some pictures up soon

I got rid of the blaster because I never used it - I found that my Archon was always in combat, so he'd never have the time to blow up a tank. But I agree, it would be awesome if he did!

Sorry for the long wait , but I have some pictures of the Scourges squad and Razorwing Jetfighter
Here are the Scourges, with two Splinter Cannons and no Solarite:
And here is the Razorwing Jetfighter. I've done a bit of magnet work with the help of my dad, using 32 Rare Earth Magnets (I think they were 3/8" in size), so now I can choose which missiles I want for each game:
And here's a picture of the 1020 point army so far:
Please keep the comments coming!
Oh, another thing - my dad and I have been at work with some Dark Eldar terrain, including a gaming board and modular terrain (spires, spikes, etc). Hopefully I can get some pictures of them up soon.

Here are some pictures of the terrain my dad and I made - I hope to create more mountains, area terrain and barricades. I haven't finished painting them:
The boards are hardboard with sand PVA-glued on top.
A random shot of the sand:
A barricade, with added spikes as Dark Eldar seem to like 'spiking things up':
This is what I'll use as area terrain, and the spikes can be pulled out if needed:
A smaller piece of terrain:
A mountain:
And a tall spire to collect souls:
And a mini spire, to collect and transmit souls to the big spire:
Comments welcome!
