My favorite part of this fandex (for those of you who are going to wait before looking through it, or won't at all) is that it has a warband option for all of the legions in the fluff. Much the same as most of the big legions in the loyalists have their own special chars or codices, each chaos army must take a warband option for different bonuses.
The bonuses for a Night Lords warband, which is my obvious choice, are as such;
CSM squads of 5 get their aspiring champ for free.
Raptors are troops
for 30 points, upgrade a lord, champ, or
DP into the ShadowLord- all enemies within 12" roll 3
d6 and take the highest for morale, instead of the normal 2.

The mission is Annihilation, Dawn of War, he gets first turn. He reserves everything, and rolls for Grand Strategy, getting 3, and puts the reroll wounds of a 1 on his paladins, his other paladins, and his Dreadknight.
He declares to bring everything on in the first turn, while I deploy the noise marines and the 5 man squad in a building in my center, with the
DP behind the building out of
LoS, to Lash things closer to the
NMs
I fail to steal with a roll of a One.
Grey Knights Turn 1
He brings everything up in a rough line, with his
LRR with paladins / draigo, and dreadnight on my left. Vendread is in the center along with the rhino/Purifiers, and SR with Paladins on my right.
His Stormraven can only see 15", so turn to me
Night Lords Turn 1
Everything trundles on, rhinos and
LR making a wall to my left, with two of the raptor squads hiding behind of them. The other raptors and pred move on to the right. Shooting fails to see
Grey Knights Turn 2
Everything moves up, his dreadknight is just out of range of my noise marines, everything pops smoke, while his stormraven moved flat out
Night Lords Turn 2
I move the rhinos and the landraider to make a wall between his raider and my raptors. Shooting shakes and
WDs his purifier rhino (meltas and all) and cover saves his SR. I lash his dreadknight 5 inches backwards, to keep him out of range. I then shake his Redeemer
Grey Knights Turn 3
He pivots his rhino and disembarks, moves his dreadknight back forward, and his stormraven moves over and drops paladins for the same charge.
His redeemer goes around my rhinos, over a piece of terain to try to get an assault on some raptors, which I moved a little too far up. This is going to hurt.
Shooting kills two of the raptors that are about to be dual-assaulted, his dreadknight puts a wound on the prince, an the vendread puts two more. his paladins then opt to shoot the prince, finishing it. he kills one
NM with the redeemer, an then assaults the raptors.
Purifying flame kills one off, and I pull it away from the paladin side to deny attacks, but it only being one death, he still gets all his hits paladins kill 4, and the purifiers get the rest.
Night Lords Turn 3
I tank shock through his purifiers, sending them running.
I pop smoke on my rhinos, and the two remaining raptor squads move to assault draigo and company, lining up shots from themselves, the Noise Marines, and the Land Raider. The pred pivots to shoot down the other pallys
The lord opens with his doomsiren, wounding two but he rolls two 6s for
FnPs, but his raptors deal a wound (he is rolling ones out the wazoo, while the other raptors finish the wounded pally, and the melta zaps another.
The Landraider takes one more down, and the predator misses the other paladins completely. Both of my squads assault the now 2 man pally squad and draigo.
The lord wounds the last normal paladin, and his attacks bring down 1 raptor.
I kill the rest of the paladins, saving the fist for draigo. I deal my wound, he takes the wound, and THEN he tells me that draigo is T5. WHAT!?
Grey Knights Turn 4
His purifiers continue fleeing, 9". His paladins move to get into the assault.. fun, a giant scrim.
His SR stuns my Pred, and gatling takes down a single Noise Marine. His redeemer kills 3 more. Stupid psiflame.
he assaults in with his dread and his paladins, killing a bunch, making the fist squad flee with 4 left, and taking fearless wounds, only one raptor stands alone with the lord.
Night Lords Turn 4
Now i'm reeling a little bit, and I cant even shoot at them. Anyway, the fleeing raptors go 14" and off the table.
I shake the landraider twice (with a stun and a glance...) and then the
NMs open up on the dreadknight, and dont do anything.
All my other shooting whiffs, and the lord kills one paladin in melee (every single round he has rolled 3 misses, it's really quite irksome)
He then dies, failing every single one of his invulns, and the raptor dies as well.
Grey Knights Turn 5
The purifiers run off the table. Huzzah.
He kills 3 more noise marines with the redeemer, and the psilencer leaves only the champion alive. The termis and draigo (who didnt join them, for some reason) both fail to kill him.
He wrecks the pred and one of the rhinos
Night Lords Turn 5
I tankshock the paladins, causing them to flee 7", and pop smoke.
All my shooting whiffs.
I roll for a continued game
Grey Knights Turn 6
His paladins flee 3 inches. Happy Day.
His landraider ends my 5 man squad, and his dreadknight finishes the noise marines. I have a rhino and a land raider left.
Nevermind, the rhino blew up.
Night Lords Turn 6
My land raider misses. Even with twin linked.
Game ends.
Well, at least I diidn't get tabled?
The game ended for me when Draigo ened up being T5 and immune to the instant death that I was expecting to get him with. If I had known that, this would have gone a lot diifferently, but hey, this was my first game agains
GKs so i suppose it's okay. Anyway, Hope you enjoyed the report; I'm sorry they don't have pictures like I usually do, but my camera has been ninja'd from me by a family member for a while. I will have pics for the next reports though, this saturday. Keep an eye out!
