Well Guys, we have made it 4 years. I think that officially means I have beaten the odds that most comapnies fold within the first 3 years..... or is it 5? Ah well who cares! On with the savings! A quick question (I figure some others might be interested in the answers so I'm posting here rahter then by email);

Some of the models in the HelsVakt range (like Bloody Garm) consist of the main model, which seems complete except for the weapons, and a weapon sprue: I can't quite tell from the pictures, but is it possible to assemble these minis with a weapon in each hand, or must they use a shield for the left? I'm not sure from the photos if the left side arm ends in a fist, or at the wrist.

Buzzsaw, you know, I do nto knwo why I have not yet made a left hand fitted for dualign for the HelsVakt modulars..... That is somethign i will correct in the helsVakt expansion. As for now though, unfortunately, no I do not have an off weapon hand fitted for a weapon option. I suppose it woudl nto too terribly difficult to convert the shield hand to accept a weapon though... Sorry man.

Yep, Greater Horror is poctured on a 25 mm base but is supplied with a 40 mm round cause it looks better.

Da Boss, I ship same day or next day. Typically it takes 6 to 10 buisness days for packages to reach destinations in the UK. So, it shoudl arrive at your parent's house withint he time you are stayign there....barring any wierd custosm issues, which I have only been notified of two or three times in all 4 years of doign buisness. even in these instances the packages were only delayed by a couple of weeks.

Wow 3 years already Tre? That was fast and so enjoyable to see your range growing into what it is today, I never hidden that you are one of my favorite sculptors currently working and I do wish that you continue to sculpt for at least a couple more decades or so

So what are your plans for the next years? will you continue to expand your range with new models, introduce more races or try different settings like scifi or victorian steampunkish post apocalyptic stuff? Maybe some 15mm stuff?

Well, the first thing I intend to do is to put more into the Infernals range. Right now on my desk I have several exciting projects nearign completion that will be SURE to find a place on any fantasy gamign table top....and to some extent for at least three of them Sci-Fi tables as well!

Beyond these Teh HElsVakt are due for that BIG expansion in late September / early August along with the goblin footmen with hand weapons and shields.

After that a rather large expansion for the Dvergr that will basicly make that range the single MOST complete range of Dwarves in the industry..... I am talking everything from Cavalry to Engineers, Special Unit types, and a whole damned VILLAGE worth fo towns folk. RBG dwarves are kidn fo their onw thign so I understand the need to flesh them out much more than everythign else. That shoudl be around November, and then Christmas will see a big expansion of the Njorn.

I have plans to branch out into other settings and 15mm is a very fun idea, btu for now I am goign to focus all of my energy into fully fleshing out the Red Box Games fantasy ranges first.

Well, that was a nice surprise. I was going to order 4 or 5 models this evening, and when I saw this thread my order changed to ...a few more than that.

I've only just spotted your figures recently since I've only gotten back into minis again after a year or two out, so it was great to have this opportunity to pick up as many of your figures as I could here at a great price.

Yep I have plans for a shirellings town as well but that is a little further out. There will eb a few mroe shireling characters before then though.

Incidentally I don't hav eany sci fi specific stuff goign at the moment. What I meant to infer was that there are three beasties on the tabel top right now that woudl work as well for sci fi gamign as they woudl for fantasy. Nice Alien monsters or extraplanar beasts in fantasy.

I realize that this sale is over but I have to say I'm extremely impressed with Red Box Games's service. I placed the order and three business days later it arrived. The figures were very inexpensive, but the highest quality metal figures I've ever seen. I had some questions for Tre about my order and he responded extremely promptly and gave quite thorough answers.

Seeing them in person really drives home how exceptional of a sculptor Tre is. I was expecting them to be excellently proportioned, with beautiful but not over-done details and very believable anatomy and even expressive faces- you can see all that from the pictures on his website. What I wasn't expecting was how tiny the figures were. They appear to be roughly the same height of my other 28mm-30mm figures, but because they are realistically proportioned the figures I ordered are so much smaller than the cartoony behemoths sold by GW. The default bases they ship with appear to be about the size of a US dime, and though I've never seen a base that small they don't appear to be posed in a way that would crowd it.

I ordered Dagny, Mistress of Dawn and Astrid of the Stones, both female figures who achieve the rare feat of looking unmistakably female and even in Dagny's case drips with feminine sensuality without having to resort to the typical fantasy tricks of silly chainmail bikinis or ridiculously exaggerated woman-bitz.

And on top of that the flash on the minis was minimal and all of the details appear to have come out perfectly. I seriously cannot gush enough about the quality of their product. If I hadn't been unemployed for the last 4 months I would have happily bought much more, but unfortunately I'll have to wait until I get some cash flowing before I expand my collection. In the mean time I'm eagerly looking forward to what is coming in the pipeline and recommending them to everyone I can.

Have ordered a quartet of females to accompany the female dwarf I have for a Songs of Blades and Heroes warband. Will have a very happy daughter when they arrive!

Tre's dwarves are brilliantly proportioned imho. Most dwarves are knuckle scrapers.

On the subject of females,Tre, is Henga the Shield Maiden now OOP?

My stuff was waiting for me in Ireland when I arrived. Awesome.

I ordered the two resin trolls, crowbiter the goblin shaman, a halfblood and a dwarf.

The trolls are great, minimal flash and no pitting or bubbles that I can see. Will fit in well with GW models (if that is your desire) and make excellent gaming pieces for D'n'D.

Crowbiter is the same height as a GW Gnoblar (just about) but his proportions are a little less exaggerated. His head and nose are still large and "goblin-y" but he's not as big headed as a GW goblin and has a slightly better proportioned torso. Sculpt is crisp, detailed and has minimal flash.

Dwarf is awesome looking. He's a little slimmer than a GW dwarf and about the same height. He's very detailed, very expressive, no flash. Would fit into my dwarf army easily I think (though I use Dwarves from many different GW eras, as well as Mantic Dwarves, so I am not a scale nazi. The build is pretty different to a GW dwarf but it in no way looks wrong. He just doesn't have a giant head and huge hands, and has slightly better proportioned legs and torso. (like Crowbiter!))

Halfblood is more realistically proportioned than most 28mm minis but he's taller than an imperial gaurdsman. Again, he's perhaps a mite slim for his build compared to a Catachan, but to my mind that just makes him look better. Sculpt is clean and flash free (as was the dwarf.)

Overall- well, I paid £30 (including shipping) and got 2 gorgeous big resin beasties and 3 miniatures I would consider slightly better than GW character standard (though that is probably because I adore the style and "feel" of RBG's minis). To me this is excellent value. If you plan on using these miniatures with GW ones, be aware that they are more realistically proportioned and might bug you if you are finicky about that stuff. As minis for D'n'D they are completely awesome and very fairly priced.

Will do - when they turn up. They weren't there when I got in. I have a break in 10mins so I'll check again then. I'm wondering now if "delivered" means Tre' has shipped them or if it actually means "delivered" (since the email was from Red Box and not the Post office, and I didn't get any kind of tracking number...)

Tre cannot forsee the vagaries of the postal system and gurantee when the package will arrive.

I want to start DMing a D&D game just so I have an excuse to buy those goblins. I've been coveting those little archers since I found his site however long ago.

Yes, well, "delivered" in normal use tends to mean "delivered" as opposed to "shipped". Also since I ordered and paid for them just over a week ago, having them arrive now would be quite feasable. If something is sent with tracking - which is feasable considering the $ amount I ordered, then they could know when a parcel is delivered.

Make sense?

So anyway, next break in 20mins, so I'll check again.
