A red sort of theme, well that depends on the sort of.

I'm curious to why you went with the forgeworld version? Could you not of got the same from the plastic kit?

I'm just starting my Tau force and have been looking at the f/world kits but most of them look too similar to the plastics. I really like the XV9 suit though!

Nice colour scheme though, not quite blue!

the forge world ones have movable body parts, whilst the GW ones are all stock standard. Plus the forge world ones are cheaper in australia!!!!!!

Yeah 3 battle suits cost me $120 australian plus postage and handling. Whilst at my local GW it would cost me $123 for 3.

If GW is more expensive than FW, i dont think i would bother with it. FW has way more detail. Your startin out lookin good. are you planning to field the 72 firewarrior list.?

The first suit is looking pretty good? I might recommend a secondary color, just to add some variation and break up all that red (even though it's a great red ). Maybe even just some Tau font on some of the armor panels? I think pure white would look pretty sweet!

I'm not to fond of the pose for the second suit. He looks a bit like Neo getting shot at by Agents. That or he just got blasted by something. Had you thought of any other poses?

Keep up the good work!

Cheers,
Rawson

I agree with you rawson on the colour scheme, maybe a little white would work. The second guy was ment to look like he was coming in for a landing. Now he just looks like he is looking at a carnifex . I think the pin holding him to the base bent during construction. I will have to fix that up, If I can tonight.

Lost in Australia, somewhere.

I'd recommend either white or scorpion green for some of the random panels to break up the red. That said, I really like the red

Thanks Frozensoul80! I have had a day to think about it, and I think I might leave the red for now. When I have done some fire warriors I will see whether the scheme for the battle suits fits in.

If you can't straighten out that pin, it might still look okay if you can figure out a way to bring the chin (or whatever the Tau equivalent is ) down some. Bring the chin into the chest and he will look a bit more in control of himself, imo.

Good luck!

<3 Tau. I'd be playing them if I had the cash for it. Also, if they got a friggin' codex update some time, that would be cool too.

Gorgeous job with these, mate.

Devli215: Don't know what gram crackers are? But they are resin bases mixed with cork sheeting. I use resin bases because I cant be bothered corking the entire base. whilst it doesn't take all that long, I am just straped for time.
