It looks like something that might be nice to bring an army to a painting contest, but not for shipping, unless you are able to have custom foam made to fill in the space around the minis. Still, it's interesting.

Yeah, I have a funny voice, I know. It always sounds like I have been gargling glass or something.
These things are perfect for fantasy. I think the little case would be pretty killer for Warmahordes of FoW, too. I bet you could fit multiple Malifaux armies in one of the little ones!
@Warpcrafter
I know a guy that flew to the BAOGT came with a Tablewar case, and his stuff all arrived just fine. I don't know if that was just luck or what, but it does seem plausible.
You could get some cheapy foam and cut it out to go around your guys, I guess. I have not considered how to fly with it just yet.

I'm liking that idea... would you mind me asking what the measurements are on the blank trays?

You beat me to it, Reece! I just got mine on Tuesday and haven't gotten to do much more than ooh and aah over it .
I can't watch the video at work but will check it out when I'm home, and see if I have any additional thoughts to add based on mine.
Would you mind if I add my review onto yours in this thread, once I get it up? I figure it makes sense to consolidate them for people considering this case

It is heavy, but not crazy heavy. I think it will be great for transport and I know a lot of the Tablewar guys have flown with theirs, and driven to Vegas (4-5 hour drive) with them and had no problems. I am taking mine to LA today (5 hour drive) so i will let you guys know how that goes.
@RiTides
Scooped ya! Just kidding, I wanted to let people know about this, it is awesome.
Yeah, add your review onto this one, that would be killer. I will update the title when you do (or you can, since you are a Mod).
Was really confused as to the whole purpose of this thing until someone mentioned display boards for tourneys. I wouldnt pay that much for it, but the idea is a really good one. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying it's not worth the cash or it is chintzy construction, just saying that the concept itself wouldnt push me to that kind of cash outlay.

Great video, thanks for sharing dude. Some questions;
It looks like the laser cut holes are substantially larger than the base?
Did they say anything to you about WM bases? I don't see 30/50s listed on their site
Are they deep enough to allow diorama/scenic bases (with overhanging structures)
Thanks again

It looks just awesome, but it's a bit small. If an army went for anything like LR, Vendetta, Drop pods, and just bigger bulk items in general are going to take up too much space to be able to haul an entire army with just the 1 case alone. Also, I believe for the price, the army should use a material that magnets can stick to for all of the trays.
Looks like this case is only ideal for 1750 and maybe 2k armies.
Personally my 2k Sisters of Battle army has 8 Rhinos, 3 Exorcists and over 60 Sisters of Battle models. I don't see that fitting, or any kind of IG army, or army based on a lot of tanks, Mech Eldar, DE, IG, and most of the mech armies.
The only thing that it seems this case is ideal for is footslogging or low armor count armies.

At the Ard Boyz Tournament 2,500 pts. There were 6 Full-size cases, Orks w/5 Battlewagons (2 converted Landraiders), 2 SWs, 2 Bugs & a BA drop pod army. Some did have to take out the drawers but the Armies fit.
TableWar on facebook has some photos of what fits in the cases and I know guys are working on posting their stuff up here as well.

I saw one of them in person, the things are really neat. Carried a rather large Ork army with several battlewagons (that proceeded to stomp my face in afterwards). Expensive, but they look completely worth it. It definitely makes your army look amazing just being carried around, especially with some custom trays for diorama scenes.

Will the WM/H trays have options for the 5 inch Battle Engine bases?

That's my purpose behind getting the case- that and how much faster it is to take out and put away models when they just got on a tray, rather than into foam.
@ Kreedos- it's surprisingly big. For the footprint, I'd bet you can fit more than any foam bag... if you put a vendetta into a BF 432 or something, you're going to have hardly any room left, either. But I think normal tanks should fit in really, really well to this case.

I took mine to the SoCal Smackdown GT this past weekend and it makes a HUGE difference for playing at events.
I didn't even have the time to magnetize mine and it still worked just fine. I am ordering magnets though, so make it better.
Definitely liked having it and it attracted a lot of attention, which was pretty cool, too.
You can fit 5 Razroback/Rhino style tanks on one shelf, and 60 infantry on one shelf if you use the trays, and more than that if you just use one big shelf and magnetize them to the metal base.
The owner of TableWar asked myself and the Zero Comp team to help with a promotional tournament held in the Bay Area of California.
Check out this link if you are in the area and are interested in coming out.
Automatically Appended Next Post: To give you an idea, I fit my 2K Space Wolf army on 3 shelves with room to spare, and you can easily put 4 in there with a drawer to hold all your bits and bobs.
