so this was me just playing with my little brother trying to teach him some rules and see if he likes playing enough to get him some stuff. But i digress


"Oi Boss, Boss, Bo..." before grup could finish his last word he was set alight by the Mega Mek's burna and turned to a molten pile of sludge, "WHYAT IZ IT YA RUNT!!!!" the mega mek screamed at the pile of molten ork on the floor. It seemed that the boss had started to lose his mind after the months of tyranid presence on his world, just as the Mega mek lent down to scoop up and taste what melted grup is like a grot flew threw the open window hole and landed on the floor just to the side of the Mega Mek. The grot burst into a high pitched sqweal of words as soon as it had landed and it took the Mek by surprise at first before he heard a word he could recognise "Gribbly's".
The Mek took the grot by the throat and roared into its face "WHERE!!!" the grot struggling to breath pointed out of the window hole that it had been thrown through a few moments age. The Mek looked out towards the horrizon, and a grin stretched across his scared blue face "Get Da Ladz Tagetha, We Got A Fight A Comin".... when there was no reply from the grot in his hand the Mega Mek instantly prepared to rip of its tiny little head, unfortunatly the little zogga had went blue and died already, the mega mek tossed the crushed corpse onto the pile of ork on the floor and then prepared for some propa crumpin.

orks take first turn as tyranids fail to steal the initiative, movement


tyranids in there sights the orks start to fire


the looted wagon with boom gun fires at the tyranid prime and his unit of warriors


a warrior and some termagaunts die


lootaz aim their daka gunz for the Biggest Nid attempting to get some good loot from it


out of the 45 shots fired by the lootas only 2 manage to wound the beast


The truck boyz then shot off there 2 big shootaz at the hive tyrant. Although most of the shots were fired into the air one stray hits the tyrants wing and goes straight through causing a wound




the deff dread then fires its big shootas into the trygon only to have the shoots bounce off its tough carapace


The mega mek then orders his battle wagon to fire upon the gaunts infront of him killing a few

The Tyranid turn begins


The tervagon responds to the orks murder of its childeren by spawning 12 replacements and then moving up the field


all of the tyranids move up towards their intended targets


The hive tyrant fires off some hive mind power and ruduces the ork deffkopters ws and bs to 1, at the same time the tervigon taps into the hive mind to grant the trygon feel no pain untill the next turn.



Ork Turn 2


stuff moves and disembarks


The Mega Mek and his mob of boyz disembark and daka the trygon with their shootaz, all shots miss or bounce off


The lootaz shoot at the gaunts killing 2 with 15 shots


"dakadakadakadaka"


The looted wagon lines up another shot on tyranid warriors


the shot hits a warrior straight in the cheast killing it instantly in a explosion of gore


the deff dread charges into the gaunts and instantly kills 4, the gaunts being weaker cannot pen the dreads armour (chaos continues)


The orks charge the hivetyrant, not there best move 4 are killed

Thats where it ends folks.
I lost loads of pic whilst writing this and this is as far as i got. Anyway, enough comments and maybe i will do somemore.

Very cool happy to see that your getting your brother into the game.

What a shame, you did a great job on the pics there. I thought for sure the way that was lined up you were going to multicharge the trygon and two gaunt squads, massacre the weaker ones and force a ton of no reareat onto the Trygon.... Any reason you did not?

Please do some more...

did'nt want to compleatly destroy my lil bro and then put him off the game forever. not just gameplay tactics occouring here

Both armies have excellent paint jobs. I'd love to see more.

That's cool. Are you suppose to roll for the Loota shots like that? I've been rolling a dice for every loota and figuring out how many each gets by adding them up.

yeah you roll for the unit d3 not each boy.... (that must be taking you ages lol)

It is for the unit, that must take ages.

Well I think it works in our favor to roll for them individually. All in all with my lootas I'm happy if I get 2 shots each, 3 shots is awesome but I am counting on 2, if I get 1 I'm a little disappointed. So when rolling to see how many shots and you only roll one dice for say a unit of 10 you have a 2 in 6 chance of only firing 10 shots. However if you roll them separate you increase the chances by a lot that you don't get only the minimum, of course this works the other way where you rarely will get the maximum.

Fun game! It looks like you both had a good time.

But I agree with other sentiments on the board, you need more cover! I see that you use rocks. Rocks are perfectly good! Just get some more, larger rocks and it should be a better match, i think.

Also, watching his tightly packed gaunts suffer template hits was cringe inducing :\.

Wow that's sparse terrain... I would refuse to play on that board

Looks like it was a good game. he had some nice tactics, for a beginner, that is.
